Thumbs down What's with all the Twilight losers?
We went to see "2012" tonight, which sucked ass, so I suppose I'll touch on that subject first. That is the most unrealistic BS movie I've ever seen in my entire life. How anyone could even say that was decent is beyond me. The acting was bearable, but I've seen James Bond movies that are more realistic than that garbage. The absolute worst $20 I've ever spent on a film, which is another good reason to pirate DVDrips and burn to blank discs.

And what is this Twilight "Moon" hor$eshit? I downloaded the first one thinking it would be somewhat decent considering it contains vampires, but I deleted it within thirty minutes since it was putting me to sleep.

So we get to the movies, right, and there are literally hundreds of people freakin' lined up to see Garbage Pt. II. WTF, right? Had to wait in line for nearly 45 minutes just to get tickets to see this other piece of $hit Hollywood came out with. Please help me understand the infatuation with this horrid series, though.

Twilight sucks, 2012 sucks, and if you disagree with me, your face sucks.

I cant believe Star Wars came out in what 79'?and this 2012 bs was made this year.Anyone who pays to see this should feel robbed.

As far as New Moon my girlfriend is one of those freaks I tease her about Underworld being a much better movie.

Underworld was a great series of movies. I've never seen any of these Twilight movies, but best I can tell they fall into all of that Dawson's Creek meets Harry Potter craze. I don't get it, but yeah, it's mainly a chick/gay guy flick.

It was targeted towards the teenage/early 20's female demographic. Of course most straight guys arent gonna like it.

And didnt you already say that you thought 2012 would suck? Why would you go see it in theaters and then get mad?

2012 was good for only one thing- end of the world special effects. I knew prior to going that the plot would be garbage, and it was. I'll say it again- if you're at yellowstone when that thing erupts, you stand ZERO chance. There's no way in hell you're going to outrun that sh*t.

And if that entire event happened, no way in hell you step back outside after only 27 days...if you did, you'd instantly burn to death since we would have no atmosphere!

On twilight- my wife rented the first one and I watched it with her for the same reason you did- I said "oh, vampires- at least that could be interesting..." WRONG. They butcher vampire lore. Sparkling in daylight? That's the epitome of faggotry. And the fact that this garbage overtook The Dark Knight for opening weekend sales pisses me off...at least TDK had symbolism and was deep (along with awesome fight scenes and great acting)...this twilight crap is shallow drivel that makes you dumber for having watched it. The fact that it is now the best performing weekend is a sad commentary on theatrical culture in this country.

Man, am I out of touch. I don't have the vaguest clue what's even being discussed in this thread. Krieger could have written his initial post in Latin, and I would have a better idea of what's being talked about.

From what I've been able to translate thus far, it appears there's a new genre of movies that I'd be better off ignoring, as I have been. There are a couple of new sci-fi flicks that are reminiscent of "meet the new future, same as the old future", in that the draw of the film is the FX and not the story, which is true of the majority of sci-fi flicks. And, there is a horror flick whose mere existence is the horror part; and I'd be better off waiting for it to hit HBO, Showtime, or Cinemax... and apparently works better than Halcion for the sleep-deprived.

Is that pretty much the jist of it?

Any woman I've asked about Twilight says the same thing to me.

"It's pretty much the perfect love story." I will say, most of the Twilight fan I know are very attractive and reasonably smart women but I still don't get why vampires, werewolves, and a hot but way too pale woman add up to being such a great story.

Somebody get Underworld and Teen Wolf to these people, please.
