Question Alabama 5A Football
Is there anybody from south Alabama on here?? If so, how good are Spanish Fort and Demopolis???

If we beat McAdory next friday then we have one of them teams in the state championship and I wondered if anybody knows anything about them...

Go Golden Tigers!! I was really surprised how bad they beat Cullman but the defense was lights out.Calloway is gonna look good in Crimson in a few years.

It looks like Spanish Fort has the team that will make it..beating Vigor and Briarwood back to back they must be strong.I think the Ville gets by McAdory next week.WE NEED A BLUE MAP!

Well I'll let you know about Demopolis, their run has been surprising so far to be honest. They play with a lot of heart but they're definitely beatable in these playoffs to say the least.

They run the option alot and have a pretty good RB in Damarcus James. Also have a pretty good threat at WR with Hardy. They can put up alot of points in a hurry but they're more of a ball control offense.

Their leader on defense has to be Martaze Jackson at DE, he's been a playmaker for them most of the season. The defense can sometimes be a weakness of theirs but they've stood tall so far in the playoffs.

Would be surprised to see them make it to state and I'm still pissed about Sweet Water and Linden losing last night.

Well I think they over looked a pretty good Loachapoka team. Kind of sad since they were once again by far the 1A favorite again this year. Would of been pretty cool if Linden and Sweet Water both won though. It would of been played in Linden, talk about one of the biggest games in this area ever...two teams only seperated by about 15 minutes. Linden lost a heart breaker in the final seconds on the goal line against Brantley, stopped short losing 13-6.

Yeah Leroy played a pretty good Pickens County team that were suppose to be Leroy's biggest challenge. They were definitely missing Clint Moseley's leadership this season, along with the 17 seniors that left with him. Leroy also had a problem with protection this year, think PC had a ton of sacks on them.

Brantley is always solid but just cant seem to get past the 3rd or 4th round. I keep up with them through the year being they are pretty close to where I live. We played them my junior year and it was pretty ugly. Its hard for us teams down south to compete when its time to play up north. Southern Choctaw has been a thorn in my schools side for years now.

Yeah Brantley always gives Sweet Water a good game, remember watching alot of those games. Southern Choctaw is hated by many, especially here.

i remember watching Southern lose in the super 6s to clay county a few years ago and it was pathetic. Players were out there throwin their helmets and wouldnt even go on the field to accept the 2nd place trophy.
We had them SOBs beat in the 4th round a few years ago and let them win...sucked so bad cause it was probably the only chance i would of had to see my team win the state.

Nothin but a bunch of thugs there honestly, didn't want to talk about a school but it's the truth there. I'd imagine it would be tough to watch a team like that beat your team too...never liked SC.
