This is probably a renter.
I get a kick out of people that think the 2012 end of the world is actually real. So, you’re going to follow the suspected meaning of a civilizations calendar's end, to mean the end of the world? Really?!?
This is the same group of people that:
A: Didn’t predict the end of themselves.
B: Murdered millions of people because they believed if they didn't sacrifice people daily the sun would get mad and disappear.
Right. Can I jump on that train before it's too late?

I personally challenge anyone who thinks 12/21/2012 will be the end of the world...in the 2nd half of 2012, go ahead and get like 10 new credit cards, and max them out...whats it matter anyway, right? Live it up!

What's sad is there will be plenty of idiots who will do just that and will then whine about it... then they will try to file a lawsuit against the Mayan's only to be told that it can't be done... even in the United States.

It definitely does, and that's the reason I didn't like the movie. There's like 3 different climaxes in the whole movie, and each one is worse than the one before it. The graphics were cool as hell, and the acting was good, I just didn't like the story. And the movie was way too long.

Ya'll some damned spoiled brat ass nerds lmao..........get to go to the theatre and people watch, for a $7 matinee ticket, some corn and coke, couple of good lookin broads, some explosions, John Cusack, incredible graphics, a decent story line and a cool concept....it was a pleasurable cinematic delite, a nice sunday afternoon

if you wanna argue believability then stop going to the gd movies

damn people today get out of their chevy, eat two hard taco's, smoke a generic cigarette then expect their minds to be blown over every time they see a movie? see when I go to taco bell and get a taco, I don't expect it to be a Ruth Chriss taco and then as I walk out go, damn, that was a cheap ass taco

You had me until you used John Cusack as a positive. But otherwise, pretty right on.

Your rant reminds me of a bit from Eddie Murphy: Raw. When discussing what happens when you end waiting in a relationship:

"…Because you waited five months for it. If you're starving and somebody throw you a cracker, you gonna be like this: '*damn, that's the best cracker I ever ate in my life! That ain't no regular cracker, was it? What was that, a Saltine? *damn, that was delicious. That wasn't no Saltine. That was...That was a Ritz. That wasn't a Ritz? God, that was the best cracker I ever ate in my life. Can I have another one, please? Please, one more.'

Then you get married, because you think you've found the bomb. Have the same crackers every day for a year. And you roll over one day and be like: 'Hey, I just got some regular old crackers.'"

Classic.
Who's that coming down the track?

It doesnt have to be written my scientists in order for it to be halfway believable. The ways in which is was out there could have easily been remedied. Woody Harrellson could have given John Cusack the damn map when he first saw him, and Cusack could have just shoved it in his pocket, not thinking much of it- only later to realize how important it is. They didn't need to go back to Yellowstone only to outrun probably the biggest volcanic eruption in the history of the earth. And they didnt need to walk outside at the end of the movie to look up at the sky all hopeful-like. 27 days- try 27 years or more before people could step outside.
