I've never heard George Bush say he believes the Bible to be inerrant (it is).....if he is a Christian then he should stay away from Bohemian Grove and Bilderburg.

That's not right. The constitution says nothing about where a president can and cannot draw his policy beliefs from. Seperation of church and state has more to do with government endorsing a practicular religion or even going so far as establishing a state religion. Privately praying for wisdom and guidance hardly goes that far.

Why sir do you think there are so many references to God, Our Lord etc., on many Federal Buildings, the Ten Commandments hanging in the chambers of the Supreme Court....I could go on but won't bore you with my ramblings. Obama has the right to be a muslim if he so desires, my problem is with him lying about it.

I'm a fan of Thomas Jefferson;

"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use"

That really fits for this thread. I also love Lincoln that obviously loved the Lord our God but kept it out of his governing, like the constitution requires.

Obama isn't a muslim. You implying that he is and that he is lying to us sounds somewhat insidious and intolerant to me. If this is honestly not your intention, i apologize to you. Forgive me because others making this claim are doing it with insidious intentions that stem from the bigoted fear of that which they do not understand

Yeah privately is absolutely fine but the question is when you claim to be doing god's work in Iraq. (I still can't believe that man used the word CRUSADE) Its a fine line i know, but the more one projects his faith in all things, the more I worry about him seeing god as being with him/on his side. Religious wars have started that way. If you can give me a reason to do something that has nothing to do with religion, I'm down. By favoring the beliefs and/or teachings of one religion, one starts on that slippery slope toward Theocracy

I don't guess you listened to his quotes basically saying that he is muslim.......again, I don't care if he is...that's his perogative. I care that he lies about it.

He is a Politician, of course he lies, they all do. It's just like Clinton "Did not have sexual realtions with that woman".

More than likely the only President that didn't Lie was George Washington, He did chop down that Cherry Tree.

I agree with you.....George lied too I'd imagine, but it doesn't excuse it. This is exactly why out nation is in the shape it's in, lying corrupting, moral less politicians who thin WE work for THEM.

Having worked in a predominately Muslim work place for awhile, I can assure, my dislike of them is well founded. The things they would say, about our country and culture.....less than respectful. Openly bashing Jewish people....well, guess what, part of my family is Jewish. I'm not, but they were pretty much taking a big dump on my extended family in a pretty hateful manner.

So no. I don't like 'em.

I know....I know....not everyone's the same. I'm not representative of every American if I go abroad.

Still, this country was founded on the Bible, and I'm not comfortable w/tPotUSA quoting the Koran in his speeches.

Call it what you will, that's how I feel, and I won't apologize for it. I'm more than willing to meet the guy or gal who will change my opinion of them, but I speak from my own experiences, and mine haven't been good.

Well, between George Washington, who never told a lie, and Bill Clinton, who never told the truth, I believe most politicians fall somewhere right in the middle. In essence, they will do whichever best benefits their current situation. It's not a question of morals, but of strategy.

That would be a bad thing if this a nation where the entire population of the U.S. was Christian.

Seeing as how it's not, oh well.

Muslim does not = terrorist btw.
