| 9/11? it isn't entirely W's fault, but there were/are reports of him and his administration ignoring intelligence briefings that said an attack was imminent. i'm much more concerned about his reaction to 9/11, which was to launch an unrelated vendetta war under the pretense of fighting terrorism.
similarly, Obama can't be blamed for starting the economic crisis, but he sure as hell can be blamed for how he is handling it.
as for Arafat, there are no saints to be found in the Middle East. i certainly don't consider him a hero, but i think it was fine to give he and Rabin the Prize for their attempt at peace. |
