I tried to tell people these kind of things would happen. If schools were teaching and forcing kids to sing praises about Bush that school would be closed down for good, and those teachers would never be hired in a Public School again.


These kind of things have always been going on somewhat, I recall being taught as early as Elementary School that the best Presidents were: JFK, FDR, and Bill Clinton and Abe Lincoln. I don't recall any of the textbooks ever discussing anything negative about Democratic Presidents, or mention things that really should be mentioned. (Like Wilson's wife essentially being president for part of Wilson's term, or FDR's affairs or shady political maneuvers, or JFK's affairs and shady background etc etc)

However, I do recall textbooks and teachers demonizing Nixon rather vehemently, (rightfully so, really). I just don't understand why they couldn't even go as far as to bring up negative traits or things Democratic Presidents did. Not to mention, all of the liberalized views on the colonization of the New World and the greatly exaggerated numbers they used when explaining the amount of deaths brought about by the Colonists through plague and disease.
