I think Will Ferrell has gotten too big for his britches. None of his jokes are funny anymore. Is he even trying? Why do all great comedians forget what made them funny in the first place(if they live long enough)?

As for Conan. He'll be ok, not great. I never liked Jay Leno as a TV personality anyway. I love his car collection and I think he is a cool guy, but he never really made me laugh.

I saw it. Sharp looking set although I don't like the background for the monologue. Conan will be great. He's been the funniest man in late night for quite some time now and that will continue. The show itself was ok, looks like they weren't willing to take many chances on the first show. Will Ferrell's entrance was funny as hell I thought.
I'll just regress, because I feel I've made myself perfectly redundant.

Conan and his writers are at their best when it's random comedy. Right now they are understandably skewing to specific "I'm new to LA" and "this gig is new to me" humor. It wasn't unfunny, but it's just not their strongsuit. I look for next week to be when we really start to see what a typical night is going to be like.

That being said, the cold-open inspired me and I'm really contemplating doing something like it on my road trip to Newfoundland this summer. I could run through the USC campus....then South of the Border...then Chapel Hill....maybe colonial Williamsburg....through the National Mall...baltimore harbor....Times Square....Quincy Market...some roadside lobster shops in Maine....then frustratingly jog in place on the ferry to Newfoundland.

Now I just need to convince my friends it's worth the extra hours it would take to stop in these place, haha.

I thought it was pretty funny but it certainly can get better.

It's the start to a brand new Late Night reign.

BTW...if any of ya'll watch it, as I am now that I found that, it was buffering really choppy for me, I clicked on the watch in hi-res button on the bottom right that pops up when you move your mouse over the screen....streaming flawlessly now.

FYI.

It was pretty funny and I will probably watch the rest of the week. Conan's cool, but I'd still rather watch Letterman.

What can I say, man... I love me some Conan! I'll be watching every night that I can.

Letterman turned me off by his constant Bush bashing. At first it was funny, then it just got to be an out-of-control liberal bashing our president. Letterman is a low-class piece of liberal sh!t, IMO.

I honestly forgot about it then turned it one half way through his monologue. I've never got the guy, but I have to admit before dropping off to sleep, I did like that take on him starting to go to Lakers games, and where his seat was the other night. That's my kind of comedy. But the Universial Studios Tour....It suck IMO. Too long and nothing good about it. I watch a little bit a Will Farrell interview then conked out.
I still have questions on the guy. But I'm giving him another look. Because Zee said he's the schits.
