Does he honestly think the current Republican party even has a chance? Was he in a coma for the past eight years? The Republican party needs a makeover. I suppose I consider myself a Libertarian, but I prefer to be labeled as a Constitutionalist.
I'm embarrassed that he's from South Carolina. Don't blame me, I voted for Bob Conley.
There were some real gems in that clip. Like him saying, "My favorite quote from the Bible . . . well, it's not really in the Bible." Then he shouts, "I'm a winner!" What the heck is that all about? Finally, he says, "Thou shalt not slam other Republicans," or something like that; he then goes on to slam Ron Paul. This guy is a joke, and how he ever got re-elected in this state is beyond me.

Actually I'm hoping that sanford runs against graham if he does not make it in a presidential run in 2012
Itd be a great strategy- he's got millions in a campaign account already that he could use for a presidential bid...if that doesn't work- no problem, its great exposure leading into the next round of senate elections 2 years later- that's when graham is next up for reelection
Unfortunately, graham was reelected over conley last year...conley may have had a D by his name, but he was more conservative than graham...but we have a bunch of morons who vote based on the letter next to a candidate's name alone.
The only thing that worries me about a sanford senate run...a lot of people are upset over his stimulus stance. They just don't get what it means to put a state in the best possible financial situation long term, and just follow what the talking heads on tv tell them

I don't THINK that would be that big of a deal...one step at a time- first step for him is getting the GOP nod. A lot of conservatives on the national stage say they would support him...even Ron Paul said he would likely endorse him if he runs.

As a formal political campaign hack..... I would definite put out a misinformation campaign about him supporting the confederate flag which would kill him. I hope it doesn't happen, just saying I've seen dumber things used.
