Default More than a concidence?
The Rules of SECTALK, Good bye and Good luck, Tribute to a Legend. These three threads share a common denominator. They all have been closed. Two of these were started by Floyd's Barbershop members. However, several of the same members contributed to the other thread.
I honestly don't know how long this thread will last before it to becomes closed for the season. But we need to ask ourselves this. Is this the way of things to come at our little message board site? Instead of having civil rebuttal on issues in particular threads it now seems we get "Awe screw it. Thread closed" from certain powers that has the key to the executive washroom at the corporate headquarters of SECTalk in Bangor Maine.
There are a lot of us who wonder if the recent demotion of a certain "Moderator" is the key factor of this sudden harassment on Floyd's members. It seems that negative comments toward the Barbershop are acceptable. But when Barbershop members let their voices be heard, that's when the thread becomes closed.
If this is going to be policy from now on, then remove the attacking comments and those haters who High Five these outlandish comments.

Example...

Closing threads was just one of the Ex-Moderator in question downfalls. Has the new regime been given diplomatic immunity so this doesn't repeat itself?
Thus far it seems clear that Benny's plan has backfired. I was hoping it would have worked. But clearly we need a neutral party to step in and take control of this one sided battle which rages twix CKT and Floyd's. It's as clear as babies urine that they want something which they can never obtain. And that's a peek inside Floyd's Barbershop and its success as SECTalk most popular social group. Here's a hint guys, it's the people which makes up the membership that makes this joint thrive. We have a few loud mouths, but with time I'm hoping they will gain the respect that our older members have. One Chair, No waiting. We are FLOYD'S BARBERSHOP. Hurrah!

I have a dream! To live in a land where anonymous internet message board posters will be judged by the content of their comments and not the character of the morally corrupt but funnier than hell cast of characters they choose to socialize with. When will the oppression end. Way to go TD. Get up off that backseat and move to the front of the bus!

It is a one sided battle because one of the sides does not even know there is a battle going on so does not fight. Either that or mature enough, to use Adam's term, to realize it is rubbish.

Exactly. I keep reading from certain people that there is supposed to be some kind of duel going on between two groups. TD created the social group for the daily banter that goes on in there and sometimes it does spill over onto the public boards. I guess I was probably one of the first to join the group and it mainly consists of the types of things you would experience being at a bachelor party or in your townhouse full of college buddies back in the day. There is no political discussion or any kind of discussion that has more intelligence of an ice cube. As far as the other group that was created well after Floyds, I have no idea of the intentions of why it was formed.

I don't post all that much, so take this with a grain of salt, but you're making a big deal over a sub-group on an internet message board. I'm sure it's wonderful being a member of one of those groups, but when it boils down to it, it's really nothing at all. Whether any of you admit or not, it's the reason this site has been going downhill lately. It's supposed to be an SEC sports talk site, but there is so much foolish and stupid bs going on, that it is becoming a greater and greater waste of time to stop by here for any substantive information or discusion. I don't know if it's the moderators or the internet friend groups to blame, but whatever it is, it's killing this site for those of us with lives away from the computer. Not that anyone will pay attention, but this place is growing closer and closer to merely a place where blowhards and e-cliques replace the original purpose of this site and supplant the posters who provide actual contributions to this site with personalities that reduce and detract traffic from SECTalk.

This crap ends now. This is not Floyds.com or CKT.com. THIS IS SECTALK.COM. This feud or whatever the hell people want to call it is now over. The crap I've seen over the last week or so is absolutely shocking. The worst part of it is that I've seen long standing members of this site put their allegiance to some social group above that of the site as a whole. I've watched this cancer grow to the point that this site has become divided against itself. I'm not taking any side over the other. There are dirty hands all the way around. But for the love of all that is good can't you all see what is happening here? I realized that the potential was very real for this very thing to happen. That is why I left all social groups both sports related and not.

Now is the time for every member to search their souls and see where their loyalties are at. Will we continue to divide ourselves into our own little rival groups? And yes, they are rivals. To say otherwise is to only lie to yourself. Everyone needs to look into our past when we were one site instead of these rival camps. Yes we had trouble and there were pissing matches, but nothing to the level that we see today. So now everyone needs to ask themselves where are your loyalties? As for me, I am a member of SECTalk. If your put your loyalty to some social group ahead of this, then you need to re-examine where you are at.

Parliamentary procedure.....

Ladies and Gentleman, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether we broke a few rules or took some liberties with our female party guests.... we did.

But you can't hold a whole social group responsible for the actions of a few, sick, twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole forum system? And if the whole forum system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our internet institutions in general? I put it to you, WE73 - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America!

Okay.... I'm done. Besides, I'm a mercenary.

What did I miss? What fued? Of those sites td mentioned one is about somebody kicked off for a while. I understood he is coming back so I didn't think much of it. So I posted some bs about him cause I like him. Another mentioned up there is about somebody leaving. I saw that coming a long time ago. I even told him he wouldn't make it to kick off this year. It happened sooner than I thought, so what. Anywhere ya go, you better be able to take it if ya dish it out. Yet with all this I still don't understand the problem. No way this many people with this many different ideas with this many different back grounds can all see eye to eye as if this is the Brady Bunch site. Some things are going to get heated and ya got to learn to respect that. One mod or whatever his position, got into it with me heavy. As long as I didn't use a bad word he let me speak my mind. No neg rep or anything. I respect that a lot. Btw I dont remember ever neg repping somebody. I post many times with folks I disagree with plenty of times but I do know that if I quit reading or listening I may quit learning. Not that they are right, I am HA HA, but maybe a new mouse trap can be invented. Y'all move a thread or kill a thread as ya wish. No reason needed just do it but let us post.

WE73 I respect you alot on here and I know you are just doibg your job, but I dont understand what was wrong. Aza was the POTY on this site and if I am not mistaken he was a runaway winner. So he is well liked. I enjoy his posts and daily funny banter. Cant some of us talk about it and not get in trouble? If the others dont like it then shouldnt they just ignore it? I get tired of hearing about how Ole Miss and Miss state is is gonna battle for the MNC this year and I just ignore it instead of arguing on every thread. All I am saying is why cant we have some freedom here? Lord knows we are being told what to do everywhere else way too much.
