FREE REP POINTS IF YOU PLAY ALONG

one of my best friends has just started a new band and man has it come together in just a couple of months...........ive run a few songs by you awhile back and most of you were gracious to take a second to listen and give me some feedback.....because I am passing it on...............the guy is johnnynine, a poster here that I referred.......he just doesnt visit much at all

here's the link to their myspace page........they have sent CD's out to some major labels, trying to find a niche...........their music is indie/alternative

take a listen.........its actually all pretty good.........they have 5 songs on their player you can check out

my favorite is "Imagine" and "Sunday Mourning"

LAY YOUR CODSACK HERE

what I'd like those that check it out to do is tell me what two of the five songs would you use to shop the band?

I'll tell you what I told Rehab and the Daybreak Bandits. This is the kind of music that will get you laid in bars accross the south, From Dickson Street to the ATL, but if you are thinking this is going to get you a major record signing you are about a decade too late, because the googoo dolls, sublime, and Incubus, while all great bands that I still listen to, aren't selling records any more.

But hey, what do I know, I'm just a local DJ I don't really listen to THAT much music.

I do want to say they are obviously all really talented musicians. While I wouldn't buy this record, I would play it on the radio.

God, you're annoying.

Welcome to the Dream is my fave. All of them are good. That one just struck a chord I guess. Love the vocal effects and the acoustic guitar sound. Vocals could be "brighter" IMO. They are muddled at times.

Sunday Mourning is really good too. Love the synth work. The vocals are victim of the same thing at times, but to a lesser degree. It's not the vocalist, it's something to do with the mixing, I think. Reminds me of early 90's Duran Duran.

Oh my! You kids today. And those clinging and clanging musical numbers you preform, Enough to make you fill a bucket.
Anyway,
I wanted to get some opinions on a kid and his music. This come from a guy who were passing through town a while back, and stopped over for some rest and fishing before meeting his obligations in Raleigh.
Take a look and tell me what you think of the song he does at the end.
No Rep points for doing this, and Pennies aren't what they use to be so phuck that. Enjoy.

The two I liked the most were Sunday Mourning and Minutes and Days. I actually think they were all pretty good. I wasnt too fond of the too high song but I think it was the beginning didn't really sound right. But I did add Sunday Mourning to my myspace music list.

Just to clarify, the two I like the most are Welcome to the Dream and Sunday Mourning. Looks like I'm not alone in liking the latter.

Good sound and the tweeking they did worked.

No Incubus nor Sublime. No where near raw enough. Its more like Coldplay in a synthesizer. Like all the songs but "Imagine" is my fave.

Nice sound for a first album.
