Ok, So I live in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Home of Corvette, Holley Carburetors and many other gear head type things. They unveiled our new team name and logo..... The Bowling Green Hot Rods..... what do you think of name and logo?
The SAL has rearranged the North and South Divisions, moving Kannapolis to the North Division so that Lexington and Bowling Green are in the same division. Lexington Legends v Bowling Green Hot Rods...certainly gonna be a rivalry sooner than later
Minor league baseball is great. In Little Rock six dollars gets you a general admission ticket to the beer garden. Huge beers are only 4 dollars and lots of good people watching.

WOOT WOOT!
Pudding, I hate baseball but loved my time in Lexington watching the Legends. I was a fixture at the Maker's Mark Club at the stadium. I loved being a part of the teams first three years.
I need a new Legends hat. I made the mistake of making it my Mowing hat. hehehe.
How about the Montgomery Biscuits? That's our ball teams name here in Montgomery Alabama. At first I didn't like it but it has grown on me. We are also a franchise for Tampa Bay.
We had a few other names. "The Mammoth's" (Mammoth Cave is the area around here) and the "Cave Shrimp" (The Shrimp inside the cave). Also, Blue Gills (Common fish), Spark Plugs, Speedsters and Turbos (All car type stuff).
The name they wanted was Sting Rays but, GM wouldn't allow them.
I like the name Montgomery Biscuits. That's one of the cool things about minor league baseball. The names of the teams are fun, the games are made fun by the outlandish promotions, and it doesn't cost you a fortune to go. One of our favorite promotions for the Arkansas Travelers is clunker car night. They draw for a beat up car (has to be able to be driven off the field) between every inning.

Hell, I've probably seen you there then. My mom works for Billy Forbes, the minority owner of the team. So he gives me his V.I.P. passes or what not all the time. It's pretty cool to watch the game w/Alan Stein (majority owner) and listen to him rant and rave about the players, when his kids aren't around anyway
