He will be 76 years old in 4 years. The oldest elected president was Ronald Regan at 69 years 11 months 14 days.
My question is, will John McCain be too old to run for office in 4 years? Will his health even permit it? I know much of this is speculation, but I want to hear people's opinions.
Does anyone else think, as has been the popular opinion in the media as of late, that Palin is trying to set herself up for a run in 2012 on a ticket of her own?
i dont think the Palins and Huckabees of the world are going to go away, but if the GOP loses this year, i hope more traditional (pre-religious Right) conservative candidates emerge...
There are whispers of some Repubs wanting to start another party. That's how divisive Palin has been.
They've already thrown Buckley Jr. from the National Review because he endorsed Obama. If things continue the way they're going then there's going to be a lot of arguing and soul-searching on the Republican side.
Because the republicans in power now do not support the original thoughts of republicans, who did at one time Ronald Reagan and before, think like libertarians and independents..
