I've got an idea that would make the patriot act obsolete.
Step 1. Take the warheads off of about 10 sub-launchable ICBMs.
Step 2. Launch the 'blanks', without warning, at every country that is supporting terror, either by direct aid or through the policy of doing nothing to stop it.
Step 3. After they hit the ground phone up each leader of the previously mentioned countries, and tell them to get on board or the next batch are for real.
Step 4. Count on one idiot to call our "bluff".
Step 5. BOOM!
Step 6. Everyone else gets on board and the problem is solved in short order.
Did you know I still haven't finished my research on 9-11. I started this thread a longgg time ago and still have a good bit to go. One day when you have time, you should read it from the beginning. It will make the hair on the back of your neck stand-up.
There are a couple of posts from people throughout it that do not pertain to it, but add a different "flavor" to the thread.

"The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism, but under the name of liberalism, they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program until one day America will be a Socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened."
Norman Thomas, Socialist, Pacifist, Presidential Candidate. 1884-1968
Also, look into TWA flight 800. Lots of suspicion there too.

Well guys, I'm still researching this topic. I just don't have the time to maintain the pace I was at. The anniversary is coming up and I just thought I would restart everyone's thoughts on this topic.....
I also saw the movie "United 93" yesterday. It was okay I guess, but I think it's BS to a point.
Like I've said before, read this thread from front to back and make up your own mind.

Unless the profits are going to the families of those who died, then I think it's BS that people chose to make a box office movie about something so tragic.
I was living in Queens at the time, and I'll never forget that horrible smell of the buildings and bodies that drifted over us that day....it was literally the smell of death. My gf was teaching in Harlem at the time, and she had to walk over one of the bridges to get out of the city. That was the evacuation route.
My uncle was one of the first HAZMAT responders that morning, too. I have a great picture of it that I'll post later or tomorrow (I'm on a different computer right now). It actually was used in one of the commemorative books on 9/11. Maybe some of you will recognize it; I don't know.
As someone who lived in NY for 22 years, I'm especially sensitive to 9/11....
I have mixed feelings about the movie. I think Americans need to be reminded of 9/11. So many people are against the war on terror. I just think everyone needs to remember the reason why we are over there. I see the movie as a tribute to the victims of 9/11. I have opted to buy it or rent it when it comes out as I don't want to share the experience of re-living that day inside a movie theater with a bunch of strangers. I know I will be very emotional. I also want the ability to turn it off if I need to. I don't know where the money from the movie will be going. I hope it is going to go to the families who are the survivors from that horrific day. No one should profit from the making of that movie. I have mixed feelings about this post. I have read what was written. It did upset me. I hope that our government is there to do what it is supposed to do...protect the American people. I, for one, like George Bush. The major thing I do disagree with him about is stem cell research. A lot of people want to put the blame on George Bush...but Bill Clinton was in the white house before that and he disregarded several things due to the fact that they were interfering with his golf game. Remember Bush had only been in office for 9 months at the time. People ask why wasn't anything done before this, but who could have predicted the shock of 9/11? Now that we know just what terrorists are capable of, we are trying to handle it and our government is getting accused of over-doing it. I am sure many of you will agree and many of you will disagree with me. I am not a big political person so I might come across as sounding daft here. There probably is more to the story than our government lets on...but they are supposed to keep things certain things secret and out of the hands of possible enemies of the US. What bugs me is the media. I have a big problem with the media. Don't they realize how much they are putting the safety of the American public in jeopardy by their reporting? Terrorists are strong enough without us helping to empower them.
GatorNation,
I am so sorry that you had to live through that. I can't imagine the emotions that occurred that day or imagine how it still must affect you to this day. I don't think anyone thinks about someone coming in and destroying their safe haven...their little corner of the world. I know I can't imagine the pain and horror. Watching it on television was bad enough. I can't imagine living through it. Hugs to you.

Thanks, Jennifer. I appreciate that....
It's been tough on the family, for sure. My uncle was blessed to escape with his life....his company lost eight great men. Though I wasn't very close to those guys really, they were long-time friends of my uncle and my cousins, who would hangout there a lot. Going to the firehouse a few years ago was pretty emotional....seeing the engravings and talking to those who were there and survived the tragedy.
He doesn't show it, but you can see it in my uncle's eyes. Something is missing....some part of his soul, some belief in humanity or something.
If you're going to use a source to support your theory, I sure wouldn't use a non-objective, propagandist site like freedomunderground.org. It's like trying to convice someone how great Alabama football is by sending them to the "jokes about Alabama" section of an Auburn website. Just for the record, I think 9/11 happened, more or less, as advertised. And yes, I've done my research on the issue. And no, I do not wish to argue them here on this forum. But I respect your opinion and your researching effots nonetheless.
