Tennessee Sports
This is not Rocky Top, but talk UT Sports here anyway.
And the Vols take the violations lead. I think it's only fitting that since stupid criminal acts off the field are awarded the Fulmer Cup, dumbass blunders by coaching staff that result in violations should hence forth be the Kiffykins Cup. Lord knows he's only got 2 months left....let's see what he's got left in his arsenal of dumbassery.
How do you offer a middle school kid a scholarship? He hasn't even played high school yet. Sure he can run over the piss ant middle school kids..> WHICH IS RECREATIONAL FOOTBALL.
In UT's/Kiffikin's defense, they're doing some very fast backpedaling on this story. Regardless what "Yes, I committed to Tennessee" means to most people, the official story is there was no offer (or any contact for that matter - also a violation) made with young Evan.
This won't stick but I can't help but think they were this close to another letter from NCAA but that could be due to precedent.

It's ok. UT's compliance officer is on the D1 Legislative Review and Interpretations Committee until the end of 2010 so we'll get a rule in 2011 on it. Ironically, so is Southern Cal's.
• Jaden and Jaz Agassi: Talk about a mixed-doubles team. The elementary school-aged offspring of Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have the ultimate distillation of elite genes. Check out Jaden's swing in this video. The tennis coaches should hurry, though, because coaches in other sports may want to harness the Agassi-Graf athleticism. Last year, proud pop Andre told the Las Vegas Review-Journal Jaden batted .943 in his coach-pitch baseball league.
• Zion, Selah, Joshua, John and "Baby" Marley: If the Berklee College of Music hasn't offered full rides to Rohan Marley and Lauryn Hill's children, the school needs to fire its reggae and hip-hop coaches. Mom's solo debut won five Grammys. Bob Marley's their grandfather. The genes don't get much better than that. Miami football coach Randy Shannon also might want to keep his eye on the boys. Their dad was a fair linebacker for the Hurricanes in the early 1990s.
• Ava and Grace Garciaparra: Soccer and softball coaches already should have extended offers to Mia Hamm and Nomar Garciaparra's 2-year-old twin daughters. This one looks like an all-ACC affair, though. Mom played at North Carolina, while dad played at Georgia Tech.
• Lailaa Williams: Kiffin's hoops colleague, Pat Summitt, should have the inside track to sign former Tennessee guard Candace Parker and former Duke forward Shelden Williams' two-month-old daughter. Of course, Mike Krzyzewski might try to help out Duke women's coach Joanne P. McCallie by bending ex-Blue Devil Williams' ear.
I kinda like that every single thing anybody says or does about Tennessee football is now headline news on ESPN. Tennessee is the hottest topic in NCAA football right now, and I don't think Kiffin would have it any other way. I'm sure he's loving the free publicity.

If Meyer offered a scholarship to a 13-year old, I'd be firing off e-mails asking WTF he was thinking... I don't care if it was Emmitt Smith's kid. We've been watching Fred Taylor's kid, Kelvin, who's a RB that will also come out in 2013; but I'm pretty sure nobody has approached him with a scholarship offer yet.
Not very good timing, what with Michael Jackson just passing away and all.
Oregon offered to Joey Harrington when he was born, it was a joke but it turned out to be true. Berry commited but the letter will be signed later. The kid wants to get the recruiting out of the way

Epic fail.
For the supremely lazy out there, let me summarize the info in chart format.
Number of times a school's football, basketball, and baseball teams all finished above .500 in SEC play since South Carolina joined the SEC:
