Geogia Chavis Leaving?
Someone on Rivals said that they heard on Chattanooga radio that Chief was leaving UT. Anyone else hearing this? What is up with that? Where is he going?

I heard this rumor too. There was supposed to a huge press conference at 7 tonight, but I have not heard about what went on. Chavis said that he has not been faund of how Tennessee fans have been treating the program, and he said that it is not the same program that he came into years back. This could also be why Steele may be coming. A quote from the Chattanooga paper about the press conference:

UT coach Phillip Fulmer spoke about Mayo at a brief afternoon news conference today. But other than confirming his hiring of Florida running backs coach Stan Drayton, Fulmer deferred all coaching search questions to his 7 p.m. conference tonight.

"I'll see you guys tonight about that," Fulmer said before returning to his second-floor office at the Neyland Thompson Sports Center. "We're in the process. Hopefully things are close."

I just read in another thread that Steele was coming to UT BECAUSE of Chavis. Is he coming to join him or replace him?

Who knows, all of this was supposed to be sorted out at 7, but nothing has been reported.
