I do understand the athletic director's position and acknowledge that there are safety concerns when a mass of students rush onto the court after the game, BUT I highly doubt that this is something that will stop. I'm not saying that fans, from here on out, will rush to the court at the end of every game. I think the excitement level was fever pitch that night and the fans were obviously overcome by what had just happened. This is just the type of thing that college students do! It's what makes college students good fans. It won't matter how many police and security you have available, when a number of fans that large want to rush onto a court or field, it's just gonna happen.

It will not continue to happen if UT bolsters security and instructs them to fire @ will on those that charge the floor. Just more undisiplined antics @ the shining beacon on the hill. RTR

Yeah, while they're at it, why don't they just question everyone before they go in and anyone who looks suspicious should be jailed. You know those Vol students are a bunch of hoodlums and thugs who probably need to be in jail anyway. It seems so unfair to me that some students have to trudge through an education at the hick halls of UT simply because there is not enough room further south in the highly cultured University of Alabama.

And SuperG, I would hardly look to you for guidance in the area of discipline. You're just lucky I love you despite your own undisciplined antics at times (kiss, kiss).
