It's going to be a tough call to make, IMO. Right now, there's just too many questions at critical positions that need to be answered. We have the talent, but will they perform up to their potential? USC had the 2nd-toughest schedule for the '07 season per ESPN (behind only Washington), and finished 6-6, and left out of the bowl picture.....

Need to have improvement along the OL and at QB. Better blocking for the run game, and more intelligent decisions with passing the ball. We need to improve on our run game, and cut down on turnovers and QB sacks. And we need to come out of the gates strong and with our ears pinned back, and not let our opponents take the game to us.

But until those questions can be resolved, I have no idea how we will do this year.....

Best case scenario 9-3
Worst case 7-5

Yes. I think it's wait till next year. But that is not a 'bad' wait till next year. I do believe we could end up number 2 in the east, but unless Tebow is injured, or struggles under center, or something very unusual happens, this will not be the year Carolina can overtake Florida IMO. I do think Spurrier COULD put a scare in Florida, but I don't see it happening. We have much improved talent, but a lot of it's young and inexperienced. I do believe this will be a team that will allow Carolina fans to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Personally I think the schedule is a non issue. We play in the SEC. Spurrier has actually giggled in the past when asked about the schedule. It's very similar about every year. That is the schedule you must learn to master if your gonna get where you want to go. I'm gonna try to make it down tonight to watch Garcia and company throw the ball around a bit. I'll let ya know how I thought they looked, granted in shorts and helmets.

Will do. Wanting to see Alshon and the other freshmen WR's. Also want to see Stephen toss a few.

The end of last year was devastating to me. I still haven't gotten over the way we played against UF, Clemson, and Iowa.
I vowed that going into this year I wouldn't get my hopes up, and I haven't. We are young. Talented, but young. And in the SEC East that isn't the best thing. It is definitely a wait till next year thing with me.
That being said, I'm cautiously optimistic that our O-line and QB play will be much improved and that will help us win some big games. I'm thinking that 8-9 wins would be incredible. 7-5 sadly is what I'm expecting. I don't even want to say 6-6, but that's possible as well. If we do win 9, even 10 games, I'll riot in the streets.
I'll just regress, because I feel I've made myself perfectly redundant.

Well said. I am hopeful as always in the beginning of the season and hope to be rioting in the streets as well in December.

I think we'll be 7-5 again because of the schedule but I think we'll be a better team. The defense may take a step back but I think the offense is going to do some things this year. I think we'll be a lot more competitive in our losses than last year. Next season sets up a lot better for us so i think if we can just get to another bowl gmae and hopefully win it, our recruiting and momentum will carry over nicely into next season. I don't have my hopes up too much for this season but I think the future is brighter than its ever been.
