And as much as USC fans have been through over the past several years, I'd say we deserve some kick ass football seasons in the near future! Man, all this talk makes me wish I could fast forward to September!

I think that's one of the first things SS did when he got to Columbia...I think he asked McGee what we called the spring game and Mcgee said...the spring game....so SS renamed it the Garnet and Black game. See there...he's laying down the law from the get go!

Not to beat an already dead horse but has anyone brought up the possibility that the reason that last laptop wasn't returned is because it's not in any shape to be returned? As in, they stole the stuff, went to whoever's house/apartment still peeved and smashed the first thing they grabbed out of the bag (so to speak). Then reality comes crashing back down around them, they spend the night scared to death and return everything else the next morning.

I was a pretty good troublemaker during my days at USC and I can EASILY see something like this happening. Either way, that laptop is gone and so should those responsible for taking it and everything else. I'm glad Spurrier took a hard stance on this....while I don't agree with them not holding a Senior's Banquet, it was good to see off-the-field "incidents" will not go unpunished.

Now....what's up with Demetris Summers? Is he going to be so injury prone forever or was this past season an abberration?

I hope Summers isn't so injury prone this season also....he has a ton of talent, we need him to use it for us

He's injury prone because he's not big enough. This past season, he sat on his butt eating bag after bag of cheet-o's and didn't hit the weight room. He needs to bulk up some if he wants to stay healthy.

Part of it is Holtz's fault. He did not lay down the law with this kid. That's why he couldn't pass his physical test.

I guess the question is then....will Spurrier put the spurs to this kid and get him to work hard or is that why there is so much recruit talk on HB's and/or TB's?

Summers has shown flashes of being something very special. I can't believe he'd just laze it away like that....

I think that they should give the players another chance perhaps as a walk on or partial scholarship because i can understand they were really upset aobut the bowl game and didn't they give the stuff back? meaning they realized they made a mistake and tried to make it right.

Where's the other laptop? As far as I am being told, it still hasn't been returned. The laptop was valued at 6K and that's not including the software that was on it.
