I just heard Stephen Garcia, Heath Batchelor, and Zac Brindise were cited and charged with underage drinking this past Saturday. Not too big of a deal since most college kids, underage or not, drink. But still.....

No one knows yet....Spurrier was in Florida attending the funeral of a past teammate of his. He is expected back tonight for practice....maybe we'll find out then, or tomorrow at the latest......

Hmm... Getting arrested and getting a citation are different things. Garcia got a citation. Busting a kid for drinking underage is serious, but a big misdemeanor. I would bet that he will miss a couple of games from this and get a permanent mentor to keep him under wraps.
I think he turns 21 in 3 months.. he should have just waited.
Garcia was NOT in attendance at practice tonight. Batchelor was however.
Things are not looking good for Garcia.
Spurrier will make a decision once "all the facts come in."
But Spurrier said, after the last time Garcia got in trouble that this was his last chance...so...I think he might be gone...I'm ready to rally around Smelley. Maybe it'll be the best thing for our team in the long run...maybe we can recruit a classy 4-5 star QB this year. And I think Smelley will grow into a nice QB...did a good job in some games last year (Kentucky comes to mind).
