Default This is how much Alabama Fans care…

We, collectively, as Alabama Fans will turn on a coach fast. We will put a $400 set of luggage on your doorstep, literally. We will send Two Men in a Truck to your house. But, before the relationship sours, we do show good old fashion southern hospitality. Hell, in this case we are showing this hospitality in a more modern way… A digital Billboard laced with ads welcoming our newest head coach, Nick Saban.

Sorry for the camera phone images, but hey… this is what I am talking about! Click on the lower two images for larger version.

I want to personally thank who ever is behind these ads. This is true class and makes me proud to be a Tide Fan.

There are very few places in the world with same intensity and single mindedness as Tuscaloosa Alabama has for football.

Chris, I appreciate you sharing this glowing example with those less fortunate SEC fans what the experience is like living in a real college town.

I was about to comment that I can't believe there are 6 or 7 threads talking about Nick Saban. I think I've also been quite gracious to the Bama Boys and supportive of their new hire. Then I read some post like this; taking a shot at all the other schools, and I realize there are short-bus riders at Alabama, too. Normally, I tend to side with the guys from Bama, because, frankly, most of the comments from the Auburn fans sound like temper tantrums from fatally jealous children who've never gotten a G.I. Joe with the kung-fu grip and a NC ring on it under their tree. But, this little comment sounds awfully similar.

This billboard is right on the Northport side of the river right across the river from the YMCA ballfields. Its basically the first part of Tuscaloosa you see when you leave the airport in Northport. Its right near the new Dreamland, if that helps.

I'm not speaking to all tide fans but this kind of arrogance is why so many have been giving the Tide such a hard time.

Actually this billboard is at the busiest intersection in TTown. Its at the corner of McFarland BLVD and 15th (now called Jack Warner Parkway). The one that Bigsexxy is refering to may be running them as well, but this one was taken from the University Mall Parking lot.

Noah is not arrogant or a flamer. If you have noticed since Bama has been getting bashed on here for the last few weeks for having a bad coach, a bad season, we were then bashed for firing our coach, bashed because Bama couldn't and wouldn't hire a good coach and now Bama and their new coach are being bashed because we hired him and he took the job. Through all this, Noah hasn't said a word until now when its time for SOME to eat some crow.

As long as he's not talking about my beloved Gainesville.

Nice photos, Chris. I thought that was a pretty cool billboard last time I was in T'town. Glad to see it being put to good use.

15th Street is now known as Veterans Memorial. And yeah, they were running them at that location that I was talking about too I believe. Think I read it in the T-News.

Then I apologize to Noah. Noah I apologize.

The comment about less fortunate fans living in a real SEC town "seemed" arrogant to me. It makes me think of the holier than thou attittude of "a lot" of Bama fans who think that just because it's "Alabama" that noone should speak anything bad of their beloved Tide teams.

USC66, I appreciate it. Tuscaloosa is a very unusual city. Many students don't realize the vast difference unless they lived there year around. From December to July it is an extremely quiet country town. During the summer the campus almost looks deserted. From August to November, it is a major tourist attraction where the population triples.

We're thrilled at the fact that we've FINALLY gotten a top caliber coach. You're right for that fact its been alot of threads. I'm sure it will tone down by the end of next season.
