Default SEC Report and Week Ahead (Week 1)
SEC Standings After Week 1

East West
Vanderbilt(11-4;2-0) Mississippi State (14-2;2-0)
Florida (9-3;1-0) Alabama (12-3;1-1)
Kentucky (10-2;1-0) Arkansas (13-2;1-1)
So. Carolina(9-4;1-1) Auburn (9-5;0-1)
Tennessee(8-6;1-1) LSU (6-5;0-1)
Georgia (6-6;0-2) Ole Miss (9-6;0-2)

Power Poll (Based on conference play)

1. Mississippi State----Nobody has looked as good, but granted, the schedule's going to get a lot tougher.

2. Kentucky----Needed career night by Azubuike to survive USC at home, early shooting woes cost them vs. KU.

3. South Carolina----See Kentucky above. Rebounded well and beat Georgia down. D-A-N-G-E-R-O-U-S!

4. Vanderbilt----I know I know. But hey, until they prove otherwise, they deserve this spot.

5. Alabama----Suffered a beating at Vandy, but looked great in beating LSU.

6. Florida----Needed to shoot 80 percent in the 2nd half to beat Hogs. Will suffer without Walsh.

7. Arkansas----Better than some of the teams ahead, but the loss at Florida cost ‘em. Big game w/ Bama.

8. LSU----Wha?? This talented team has to step it up, b/c MSU, Bama and Arkansas all look good.

9. Tennessee----Not really deserving of this spot, but Vandy did hit 18 three’s against them.

10. Ole Miss----Other than the 2nd half at Arkansas, Ole Miss has looked pretty good in SEC play.

11. Georgia----Almost beat Tennessee, but then had to play South Carolina, and that ain’t no fun!

12. Auburn----Losing by almost 40….enough said.

NEXT WEEK IN THE SEC

*all times US central

TUESDAY (8:00 ESPN)

Alabama at Arkansas-----I like the Hogs here because of that little home-court thing.

WEDNESDAY

Vanderbilt at Kentucky (6:00 FSN)----Cats should rebound and end Vandy's run.

Georgia at Ole Miss----Rebels should be able to handle Bulldogs at home.

Florida at Auburn----The Walshless Gators should have no problems here, but be weary, road games are tough.

South Carolina at LSU----Even though I love USC this year, I've got to throw LSU a bone here.

Miss. St. at Tennessee (7:00 JP)----MSU should pick up a tough win on the road.

SATURDAY

Kentucky at Georgia (12:00 JP)----The Cats would whip the Dawgs in Zimbabwe or Fallujah right now, much less Athens.

Arkansas at Miss. St.----Young Hogs run into trouble again on the road.

Florida at Vanderbilt (2:00 JP)----Vandy has a huge home-court advantage, and I think they'll be able to handle the Gators here.

Ole Miss at Auburn (4:00 FSN)----Auburn gets one at home. Hey, they've got to beat somebody.

Tennessee at South Carolina (6:00 FSN)----No problems here for USC as another tough week for the Vols goes into the books.

SEC Week 1 predictions: 7-3
overall SEC predictions: 7-3

***Do not make bets based on my predictions, some of these games are just too tough to call. I wouldn't want you guys to lose your money because of what I say!!!
