Miss. State, and certainly Arkansas, are better teams than most of the Big 12. And Houston didn't "piss on" Miss. State. They were losing for almost the entire game, then rallied, and Miss. State failed to answer. Arkansas, for the record, has actually beaten a Big 12 team this season. You might say "It's Texas A&M, and it doesn't matter," but their record is better than half the conference, this season. And that is because the Big 12 is not very good.

So, that being the case, the fact that Texas has obliterated just about every Big 12 team they've played gets explained away pretty easily. The only team they didn't obliterate was the only respectable team they've played, and it gets a lot better than OU very quickly once you're playing the top teams in the SEC.

Finally, to address "barely beating" these SEC teams on Florida's schedule: it's very apparent that after beating LSU, Florida lost their drive. They were already preparing for the SECCG, and they looked down on the teams on their schedule, who, on the other hand, had every interest in taking us down. We got what we needed, and woke up to destroy Georgia. I presume we'll continue to look good for the rest of the season. Not like Texas, of course, who gets to run up the score on defenses who play like they're sitting on the bench.
