Facebook, MySpace taking their toll: The number of college yearbooks being published has dropped from about 100 last year to about 80 this year, The (Lafayette, Ind.) Journal and Courier reports. A college media adviser says the decline is due to the popularity of social networking Web sites, such as Facebook and MySpace, which allow students to preserve their memories of school.
Why is this a bad thing.... those things are rip offs anyways.

The only people I really associate with at UGA are the people within SPIA, my department. I MIGHT be interested in a yearbook with just Poli Sci and Int'l affairs majors, but I couldn't care less about everyone else. I don't know them anyway.
Ours are included in the tution for spring semester also. And does a good job of including lots of people since anyone can send in photos for consideration.
