Charlie Strong will be a head coach somewhere next season. Mark it down. However, he will not be the head coach at UGA. I don't know if Richt is leaving or not but I do know that there would probably 4 or 5 guys they would contact ahead of Strong.

I did not want to have to go public with this just yet, but I understand it's about to be announced on ESPN (apparently someone leaked this very inside info). I've been contacted by the Georgia AD in regards to possibly becoming the their next head coach. They are offering me a very lucrative contract (whatever Bama pays Saban, plus $2.34) and I will be introduced tomorrow morning as Mark's replacement. Apparantly Richt has decided to become a Baptist missionary in Tallahassee, Florida... teaching the Gospel to an indigenous Indian tribe or something. Anyway, I look forward to the opportunity and challenge that has been laid before me. I promise the Dawg faithful one thing.... I'll have our team fired up and ready to storm the gates of hell for 11 games every season..... Thank you.
I heard from a friend in sports media that the only reason Strong doesn't already have an hc gig is he interviews HORRIBLY. Word is when asked how he would handle specific situations he looks in a binder he brings with him for the answer. Strange.
I wouldn't be surprised if Tennessee is trying to drum up this rumor. In their efforts trying to hurt Florida's recruiting.
I don't think it's too hard to drum up a rumor that Charlie Strong is leaving Florida since he has been very vocal for a looooooong time about wanting a head coaching job and has interviewed for several.
He has also gone public with his feeling that racism is involved either because he is black or because he is a black man married to a white woman. (He might want to consider this type of public statement as at least one missing piece to the puzzle of why no one has hired him. Gosh, who wouldn't want to hire a guy that says the last three guys wouldn't hire him because they were racists? You mean it? I can have that guy on staff?)
The inability of Strong to secure a head coaching position is certainly a mystery unless it can be attributed to comments he made earlier about his race and marital situation being the reason certain schools have passed him by. As a potential employer, I would certainly be concerned over those types of allegations and the effects it would have on my program.
If any of the rumors are true---look for Rev. Al and Jesssssssssay to get involved. Perhaps Oprah and her boytoy Barrack can pull some strings since they were so instrumental in getting the Olympics to Chicago!!!---oops!!! how did that work out????
Supposedly Richt is working on his buyout and Georgia is looking at Charlie Strong. I think this is completely false. There is no way that Richt is on the hot seat THIS year. Now if he doesnt fire W-Mart I cant say the same for next year.
If Georgia goes after anyone it will be Kirby Smart, but I don't believe that Richt will be fired this year. His seat will be one of the warmest heading into next season though.
IMO, the whole thing about Strong being married to a white woman is not tied to the racism of white ADs not wanting a black man who is married to a white woman, but rather it could easily be tied to the situation that Strong himself would find himself in if he were the HEAD coach going into a recruits home to talk to his parents.
I know this sounds bad, but think about it...a large majority of the recruits he'd be visiting with are black. A good number of them have single-mothers. Many single black mothers are very resentful when they see a black man married to a white woman.
I've actually heard this as being a primary criticism of Strong's candidacy for a head coach position. Whether its an excuse, or a legitimate reason, is beyond me...but it does sound somewhat logical.
