SEC Rumor Mill

THIS IS A RUMOR… I guess we’ll see in a year or so if this has legs or not? AS of now I am somewhat skeptical???
I was told of some intriguing info this past weekend by two of my peeps. One a Georgia booster and the other a long time big $$$ Vandy booster [to the best of my knowledge they don’t know each another]. BOTH told me the NCAA is investigating the BAMA program again on the quiet.
Supposedly this time there are sworn statements on video, along with audio tapes and cash payment info documentation [bank statements] among other things.
From what I was told by both sources the NCAA is going after SABIN’s throat and not just the BAMA program, with MOST of this stuff is coming out of the Huntsville area.
I guess we’ll see in a year or so if this has legs or not?:
Politicians should be required to wear uniforms like NASCAR. At least the TAXPAYERS would know who their corporate sponsors are !

Those are some extremely serious accusations. I hope for the sake of the entire SEC this rumor is nothing more than that... just a rumor. If this is true Bama will be the next SMU, and considering what their demise did to the old SWC, that's not good for anyone that loves the SEC.

That could possibly be the most succinct and intelligent thing ever said here. It would be a very sad day for College Football if this rumor had any substance.

Nah. They would probably have to forfeit a few games from a couple of years ago.
I'm not sure which is the more believable rumor... that there is another investigation going on, or that there are 2 wealthy benefactors for 2 different schools who don't mind being referred to as "peeps".

what happened to SMU was probably the least funny thing that ever happened in college football history.
I doubt it will ever happen again.
Much as i dislike him... Saban.. i wouldn't wish that on anybody...
Glad to see someone feels this way.....if this is true....and our boosters or whoever is this stupid to completely keep giving disregard to the probation and the sanctions the NCAA passed down.....to do whatever they are doing illegally.....then thats pitiful....and I would be ashamed that our University would even be affiliated with people that have such stupidity.

I'd imagine almost any real College Football Fan... particularly SEC fans.. would feel that way... I'm surely not saying the SWC was as powerful or nearly as good a conference as our SEC.. but that single event set things in motion for the demise of a very traditional conference.. and that is really, really a shame.
And I seriously dobt that Saban would stoop to anything that even smelled like this in order to win....
