So it's the second time I'm hearing the rumor.. but apparently Woody McCorvey stepped/is stepping down as OC due to "health reasons". Al Borges is a possibility for a replacement. Someone posted on the Scout affiliate that they heard it on a tv station.. not sure what to make of it.

I'm not even sure if this would help unless Croom would turn the offense over to the new OC.
Maybe not.

Greg Byrne has taken his first step to firing Croom by removing McCorvey.

there is no reason to delay getting rid of crxxm...we can use the espn sec deal money to buy him out if need be...

borges would be an upgrade but crxxm would not let him have complete control over the offense and it would not suddenly make crxxm a good gameplanner or a good game manager...hiring a new OC would just give crxxm more crappy excuses for another year and would just waste more money...

CLEAN HOUSE AND HIRE GARY PATTERSON!!!

GO DAWGS!!!

With Willingham stepping down, the reason to delay is dealing with the BCA.

It will not matter when we fire him because Croom is the head of the BCA. We'll get a lot of flack from them no matter what. As far as Borges goes, I think he would be a good fit for us and hope that this rumor is true, even though I seriously doubt it is.
