L.A. Times: Mustain to Trojans...
I swear....Pete Caroll is doing something illegal at USC. It isn't normal that he gets so many top-quality players to sit on the bench for so long.

Mustain (SI)

Sorry if this is a repost.

Something tells me Carroll's going to wish Mustain's mother had gone to the Trojans about 19 years ago. If the NCAA doesn't destroy his program, those two will have a chance to wreak havoc at USC, and probably will. I think it could be fun to watch. She's like a redneck bull in a china shop. She'll fit in about as well as an actual pig in posh L.A.

Let the BS begin. I'm just glad he got the hell out of the SEC. GatorU, everything you said is true to fact.

We could be watching the beginning of the USCal's collapse. Could be a blessing in disguise for the SEC in the long run.

My sentiments exactly. Sometimes you have to be careful what you ask for, because you just might get it

Yeah he has to be doing something illegal. What 18 year old or 19 year old would want to play at a traditional power set in the second largest US city with great looking women and a beach?

Carroll better play him early and often or Mitch and his Momma will be requesting his phone and email records in an attempt to get him fired. Come to think of it, he probably promised Momma she could add a section to the playbook and phone in plays from the stands.

Dude,

There is a much different dynamic out here. Pete Carroll did not call Mustain, Mustain called him. He did not hire a high school coach (no matter how good) to get him and his buddies to play at USC. Unlike Arkansas where players have to be begged and parents have to be granted audiences with the athletic director, USC is a bit different. I doubt Mrs. Mustain (or whatever her name is) will get much traction on a sideline that routinely includes James Caan, Snoop Dog, Nick Lachey, Kirsten Dunst, Alyssa Milano,Will Ferrell, Jake Gyllenhaal, Dr. Dre, Warren G, George Lucas and Spike Lee. A program whose last two OC's have gone to the NFL are not likely to grant her access to anything remotely resembling a playbook. If she ends up our section of the Coliseum, she will likely be told to sit her her fat hillbilly ass down and shut up.

According to the athletic department, Mustain has transferred to USC and is welcome to join the team, but has been guaranteed neither a scholarship nor playing time. We hope he works out, but with two other 5-Star QB's waiting to take JD Booty's job, we really don't care.

Fight On!

Our seats this year moved about 15 rows closer to the field (about row 30 on the 35-40 yard line...I usually say 40, but my wife says it about 32.). Sometimes it is just as much fun watching the sidelines as it is watching the game. When we played CAL, Adam Duritz (Counting Crows) wandered over from the CAL sideline with Snoop and they were tossing a ball behind the bench with Toby Maguire and three blondes who were probably Miss April, May, and June from Playboy. Between that and the song girls' sweaters, I get in lots of trouble at SC games.
