Default Ryan Perilloux possibly to be drafted in Baseball?
Heard some rumors that Ryan Perrilloux could be drafted in baseball. Word is that, yes, he's a pretty good baseball player, but he wouldn't sign for anything less than a 7 figure signing bonus, and he's not that good.

He would be insanely ignorant to go with baseball. Major League Baseball is a dying sport and it's even harder to make it to the ML than it would to have a good career at LSU and go on to the NFL.

I agree with that part of your statement, at least. He has got to be the cockiest blow-hard to sign a letter of intent this year. I'll stop short of wishing him physical harm (in public, anyway), but I hope that he fails miserably at all that he attempts. It's time that Mr. Perrilloux learned some humility.

I would guess that when he arrives at LSU this summer, he is going to quickly learn some humility as he knocks heads with the big boys! He needs to shut his trap and let his abilities show on the field. He's quieted down lately which makes me suspect that someone (perhaps Miles himself) has said something to him about talking too much.

MLB posted record attendance figures last year. A "dying sport"? I think not.

Your right.

Miles banned him from public interviews until the start of Fall practice I think. I read it in Athlon.

No, I think he will mature and be just fine. Remember, he's a 17 year old kid.

I was talking to someone who has seen him play HS football from his earliest years at East St. John (just outside of New Orleans), and they said he is a very special athlete, a one-of-a-kind in ability and football prowess, a passer who not only has a cannon for an arm, but also "sees" the whole field, is smart, and makes good decisions. We'll see.

well he hasn't been drafted in the first 13 rounds, so at this point even if he is picked he'll never get enough money to take him away from LSU.
