Cats get verbal from Sam Simpson, #2 rated OC at rivals! This is shaping up to be a very good class in 09 for UK 11-3*, 3-2*, 1-4* and more coming!

They have as many recruits from GA as they do from KY also 2 from TX and 2 from LA. Brooks is earning his salary, it appears.

We've always had a good pipeline of players from GA, don't know why but we have, several from SC too. You also have to remember with Ky. being a small state that we're fighting for local recruits against Louisville and Tennessee snags a few from us too. We lost a biggie to Notre Dame....4* DT, he was one that really hurt not getting him.

Another good pickup for UK. Not to rain in on the parade though, but he's the #9 rated Center at rivals. Not the #2.

Yer right! He was #2 OC at Scout, I was wrong on the Rivals rank, still a good pickup none the less. UK has a good class going, now if we can get the 4* RB they're after and Morgan Newton.

You probably mean that he was the number 2 C on Scout.com and until relatively recently he was a 4 star there. It is indeed a really good pickup for the cats.

I think our recruiting ranking has shot up in the past couple of weeks, if you look at all of the classes so far in the SEC, UK's is in the top 6 of the conference right now.

I read this morning that it's between UK and the Gators. I guess tuesday we'll know if he is a cat or a gator.

Sucks that he would go to a SEC rival, but at least he doesn't go to ClemSUX.....they are thinking that THEY lead for him, but they think that for ANY recruit they offer.....
