SEC Recruiting
Ah, Recruiting, Everyone wants to talk about recruiting.
In September, I mentioned that Tennessee could be the biggest threat to South Carolina for defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles of Greenwood (S.C.) High. Six weeks later, he is taking an unofficial visit to Knoxville and Gamecocks fans should be a bit nervous. Quarles watched Tennessee dismantle South Carolina last week, and he's being recruited by Tennessee defensive line coach Ed Orgeron. South Carolina still leads and is his childhood favorite, but you can never count out Tennessee.
Honestly, how good does it feel to hear that last part? Man, it's refreshing. USC is the only school I know of that is getting that kind of respect on the recruiting trail right now.
well, this sucks, now im really worried. how big of a difference should this make?
ATS seems to think that Dyer will commit to Auburn and Mosley to UT. I think they commit to the same place. I'm not sure where it's going to be, my gut says Auburn. I wouldn't worry a whole lot about it though, this one isn't going to be over for some time.
ahhh yeah true, idk i keep hearing things about how UT is getting him in the end idk how true it is though.
ATS said Dyer is coming to Auburn. He has been proven correct time and again with stuff even long before it hits Rivals or anything. Don't get yourself worked up.
Yeah, buddy. Of course we're cool. I don't take things personally. I enjoy debating especially when it's kept civil.
Thanks on Thompkins. Still don't get why Florida didn't want him. He could have helped out right away at a position of need.
Well, I think Florida liked him as a talent but, they didn't want to go the JUCO route. I think he will have 3 years to play in college but, they love Freshman WR Stephen Alli a lot and I think that's another reason they didn't pursue Thompkins that much.

The Gators aren't big on JUCO players...never have been.
Florida isn't very deep at WR after this year and that's why they will sign 4 or 5 in the up coming class.
We're deep...we're just inexperienced and injured. Carl Moore is a total stud...but his injury required a RS. Hammond, Hines and Williams were tearing it up in the Spring...and haven't been utilized vs SEC opponents for some reason. Truthfully, we're a running team...there's not a lot of passes to be caught when you average 250yds on the ground a game.

You'll have 8 receivers on the roster after this year. That's deep? UT is recruiting receivers like crazy and we'll have 11.
