Is Henderson still set to visit tomorrow? I heard rumors from not a very reliable source that he is already in Columbia right now.

Jeffery, Breeland Update
By Phil Kornblut

USC wide receiver signee Alshon Jeffery is in excellent shape to qualify for freshman eligibility this fall according to a source familiar with his situation. The source said the most recent test score Jeffery received combined with his current GPA will be enough for him to qualify. Jeffery still needs to complete an online course this week, and maintain his current grade in that course, to have the necessary GPA to go along with his test score.

Clemson DB commitment Bashaud Breeland will be examined in Columbia Wednesday to determine the extent of the knee injury he suffered Friday in a seven on seven passing league game. "We're hoping there's no tear and no damage," said Allendale-Fairfax coach Wayne Farmer. "We're hoping it's the hamstring. I just don't know. Right now I don't know anything, I'm just guessing." Breeland was injured while defending Shamir Jeffery of Calhoun County on a pass play and came down awkwardly on his knee.

South FL DB heading to SC
By Eric Guimaraes

DB Courtney Farquharson (6-2 205) of Florida City, FL is heading to the state of South Carolina. He hopes to visit USC and has called Shane Beamer. "I left a message (with Beamer) and asked him to call me back," he said. "If we can set something up, I would like to visit South Carolina." Farquharson says he and his family are driving through the night but are still unsure which schools he'll visit. "I'm looking at visiting USC, Clemson, and SC State," said Farquharson. "It will depend on who we talk to." Farquharson did say he would like to visit all three. "If my family will take me, I will go to all of them," he said. Farquharson has offers from Troy and Auburn. He is hearing from Virginia Tech and Oregon. "I just want to find a school that can give me a good education to prepare me for my future."

Robinson to give USC even dozen
By Phil Kornblut

OL Corey Robinson (6-7 290) of Havelock, NC will become USC's 12th commitment for 2010 Tuesday when he announces a pledge to the Gamecocks during a gathering at his school. USC is Robinson's only offer though he's also drawn interest from North Carolina, NC State, East Carolina and Duke. Robinson says USC appeals to him for a few reasons. "I like the coaches, and there's the chance to play in the SEC with great players," Robinson said. "I didn't know much about them but they are bringing in coach Wolford, and he had to come in having proven himself that he can develop players, and I think it will be great to work with him." Robinson said his commitment will be a firm one. "If a North Carolina school came calling, I would take a look," he said. "But it wouldn't be a hard look." Robinson will play tackle for the Gamecocks. He'll be the fifth offensive lineman committed in the class.

Moore down to final three
By Phil Kornblut

LB Kendall Moore (6-3 231) of Raleigh, NC has cut his list from seven, to five, and now to a final three of USC, NC State and Notre Dame, and he plans to announce his choice July 11th. He visited Notre Dame last weekend and doesn't have any other visits planned before his announcement. Moore says his three finalists are even with him at this time. "Everybody is at a level playing field right now," Moore said. "I'm looking for just a good fit for me overall. There should be a method to the madness of how they want to use me as long as they have a good understanding of how they see me going into a position, have a nice plan. Good academics also will play a role." Moore said he gets personal letters from USC recruiter Brad Lawing weekly. "He just tells me how he sees me at South Carolina," Moore said. "I have to figure out which one is the best fit." Last season Moore had 120 tackles with 11 sacks.

He will go to Virginia Tech July 11th and USC on the 12th. He also will visit Clemson. Parker also likes Tennessee, Wake Forest, Maryland and NC State. By Eric Guimaraes

LB Andre Whitmire (6-2 220) of Spartanburg says that USC coaches have invited him in for a close up look. "They want me to come down," said Whitmire. His offers are from Wake Forest, Duke, Stanford, Air Force, Western Carolina, and Marshall. Whitmire plans to visit Wake Forest and possibly Vanderbilt before schools starts. Hoosier WR still likes Gamecocks
By Eric Guimaraes

WR Dyjuan Lewis (6-3 188) of Indianapolis, IN says he is looking to play in an up tempo offense. That is why he likes USC. "They spread the ball around," said Lewis. Lewis says USC is still actively recruiting him but he is still unsure where he will take his officials. He has offers from USC, Missouri, Michigan State, Kentucky, Iowa, Purdue, Illinois, Colorado, Minnesota, Louisville, and Cincinnati. He does not have any favorites.

Mobley names a leader
By Phil Kornblut

6-9 SF Brandon Mobley of Savannah is a major USC target, and he continues to like the Gamecocks, but he says right now Cincinnati is his favorite. "I just like the atmosphere from when we (AAU team) played there last year," Mobley said. "South Carolina would be second. They're close to home. I talk to South Carolina at least once a week." Mobley said the rest of his top five is Tennessee, Indiana and Missouri. He currently is attending a camp in Rhode Island. In July he will be all over the country playing in AAU tournaments.

USC showing interest in Florida back
By Phil Kornblut

RB Tahj Kimble (5-11 196) of Fernandina Beach, FL attended one of USC's camp last month and apparently impressed running backs coach Jay Graham. "He said he liked me and he said he would keep in touch," Kimble said. "I liked it a lot. I liked the coach a lot. He explained things and showed me things. I felt like I could communicate with him and build a good chemistry." That's the only camp Kimble has attended. Clemson also checked him out in the spring, and he talked to Tiger running backs coach Andre Powell after his spring game. Kimble has offers from Boston College, Purdue, Indiana, Iowa State, Middle Tennessee, Tulane and Buffalo. He's also getting interest from Florida State, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest and North Carolina. Kimble plans to take official visits to Purdue and Boston College. He does not have favorites. Last season he rushed for 1211 yards and 8 touchdowns, and he caught 34 passes for 441 yards and seven touchdowns.

"It's somewhere I would be interested in." Deering recently visited Rutgers and came away impressed. "They've got a nice campus. I really liked their coaches and the people up there," said Deering. He has offers from North Carolina, South Florida, West Virginia, Iowa, Ole Miss, Purdue, Kentucky, Kansas, Marshall and recently picked up three more from Rutgers, Auburn, and Iowa State. Deering says he is being recruited as both a wide receiver and a defensive back but that most schools are looking at him on offense, including USC. He does not have a preference.
