Pozniak to visit USC

LB Antoine Pozniak (6-3 220) of East Syracuse, NY completed an all star senior season with 154 total tackles, 4 forced fumbles and 2 interceptions. He will be playing in an all star game Thursday. USC has been monitoring him all season and he will take an unofficial visit to Columbia for the Florida weekend. Pozniak has not been offered, but he's confident the Gamecocks will step up soon. "They're waiting to be sure about my grades," Pozniak said. "I get my second report card December 4th." Pozniak also has visited Buffalo.

White considering official to USC

ATH Ryan White (6-0 185) of Tallahassee, FL says USC is one of the visits he would like to take. He plans to wait until after his season before taking any. "I want to go to Florida and probably South Carolina, Ole Miss, and Southern Miss," said White. "I like Florida because it's in the bloodline." White has been on unofficials to Florida, FSU, and Georgia Tech. "I was down in Gainesville for the Arkansas game," he said. "It's was great." White, who plays quarterback for his high school team, says USC is looking at him to play in the slot and qb in the Wildcat formation. "I want to play on offense," he said referring to some teams looking to him on the defensive side of the ball. White also says he is hoping to commit soon. "I want to take my visits and commit before all the scholarships disappear." He did not name a favorite.

Vandy commit to visit USC

DB Kenny Ladler (6-0 185) of Stone Mountain, GA committed to Vanderbilt back in June but says he will visit USC next week. "I'm going to take an unofficial to South Carolina for the Florida game," said Ladler. "They stay in touch with me." Ladler committed to Vandy because they offered him first. "They were on me early and showed confidence in me," he said. "I'm still pretty strong in that commitment." He did say that if USC impresses him enough, he could change his mind. "I found out that they play three safeties and I didn't know that," he said. "That means there is a better chance to get on the field for me." Ladler will also visit Vanderbilt for the Kentucky game. "I don't know much about Kentucky because I have not researched them much yet," said Ladler. "I do have four teammates committed to them though." This season, Ladler has 58 tackles and three interceptions adding two touchdowns on special teams. He remains committed to Vanderbilt.

Auburn coaches coming to Calhoun County

The entire offensive coaching staff from Auburn is expected to visit Calhoun County High School Friday. The Tigers are trying their best to pull away OL Eric Mack from his commitment to USC. Mack has taken an official visit to Auburn and will take an unofficial visit to Clemson Saturday for the Florida State game. He plans to be at USC for the Florida game. He will go back to Auburn for the Alabama game if he's not playing in the state championship game that day. He also plans to be at the Clemson-USC game. Mack has been holding to his USC commitment. Auburn coaches are also strongly interested in Calhoun County junior ATH Shamier Jeffery and are expected to make him an offer while at the school.

During Spurrier's call-in show last night, he said we have 3 DL commitments...we only have 2 officially listed. Did Spurrier simply mistake the number, or did he accidently let slip a reference to a possible silent commit?

Johnson still planning USC visit

DB Dontrell Johnson (5-10 174) of Garden City JC, KS says his official visit with USC for the Clemson weekend is still on. Johnson said he's taking an additional class he needs to meet the SEC requirements and is doing well in the class. He recently picked up an offer from Toledo and also has offers from Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Purdue and UAB. USC, Purdue and UAB have shown the most interest and he plans to set visits with the other two schools. Johnson said he does not have a favorite. Johnson's season is over and he finished with over 40 tackles and 3 interceptions returning 1 for a touchdown.

Tapley official to USC a go

WR Sean Tapley (6-0 180) of Jacksonville, FL continues to be committed to USC and is taking his official to Columbia this upcoming weekend. "Yeah, I'm still going and am still hearing a lot from them," he said. Tapley also plans officials to North Carolina and Miami but says if things go really well, there is a good chance he could cancel those trips. Taply, who was USC's first commitment of the 2010 class, says he plans to visit Miami later this month. "They still talk to me and I want to make sure I'm making the right decision," said Tapley. He still has not scheduled his trip to Chapel Hill. So far this season, Tapley has 25 receptions for over 400 yards and seven touchdowns. USC continues to "show love" to Tapley and he says his commitment is "pretty strong".

Quarles takes in Klimp Sin game

USC commitment DL Kelcy Quarles (6-5 270) of Greenwood attended the Clemson-Florida State game Saturday at Death Valley his mother confirmed Sunday. Outside of that, his mother would have no further comment about his recruiting. Quarles had said he was going to Tennessee Saturday but changed for Clemson. He's expected to be at USC Saturday for the Gamecocks' battle with top ranked Florida.

Hubbard watches Bama beat LSU

DE Adrian Hubbard (6-7 227) of Norcross, GA was in Tuscaloosa this weekend for a visit. "It went well," he said. "I got to meet Coach (Nick) Saban. He is intense but if you love football, you have to be intense." Hubbard will visit USC this weekend for the Florida game. "Right now, it will be an unofficial visit," said Hubbard. "I like what they offer. It's a good school with good academics. " This will be his second visit to Columbia. Hubbard enjoyed his first visit. "They have a lot to offer," said Hubbard. He says he will not commit until late December or early January. "I don't have any leaders. I like all of the schools," he said. He will also take an unofficial to FSU. This season, Hubbard has 102 tackles and ten sacks. He does not have any favorites.

Floyd sets his UNC visit

DL Sharrif Floyd (6-3 311) of Philadelphia has set his official visit with North Carolina for the weekend of December 11th. Floyd has taken official visits to Florida, Southern Cal and Ohio State. He's been to Penn State unofficially, and he plans to work in an official visit to USC after his season is over. Floyd has not identified a favorite and he plans to announce his decision at the US Army All American Game in January.

Fulton visits Florida

DB John Fulton (6-0 185) of Manning visited Florida this weekend on an official and had a good time. "It was nice down there," said Fulton. "I met with Coach (Urban) Meyer for about an hour and half after the game." Fulton says he is not ready to evaluate the visit though. "I want to sit down and talk with my mother about it," he said. The weather was definitely a plus for Fulton. "It was warm down there," he said. "I'm not used to the cold so that was a plus for them." He will take his official to USC this upcoming weekend and says it will effect his decision. "I would say they (USC) are still my favorite but it all depends on how the visit goes," said Fulton. He was scheduled to visit Michigan later this month but is no longer taking that trip. If he takes his fifth and final official, Fulton says it would be to Tennessee.

I don't think UT is actively recruiting Fulton right now. Just FYI. I don't think they'd accept a commitment from him.

Mack doesn't make it to Klimp Sin Saturday

USC commitment OL Eric Mack (6-4 310) of Calhoun County did not make an unofficial visit to Clemson for the Florida State game as he had planned. He spent the weekend at home instead. This Saturday he plans to be at USC for the Florida game. Mack has taken an official visit to Auburn and plans to schedule official visits with USC, Clemson, North Carolina and Kentucky.

USC working on Florida commitment

LB Gideon Ajagbe (6-2 201) of Coconut, FL has been committed to Florida since April, but USC has been working on him and is trying to get him set up for an official visit in January. Ajagbe has been talking regularly with Gamecock recruiter Jeep Hunter. He also has offers from Boston College, North Carolina, South Florida and Central Florida. Last season Ajagbe had 57 tackles with 9 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. He also plays running back and last season rushed for 1354 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Cummings, Lipford expected at USC Saturday

DE Darious Cummings (6-3 255) of Titusville, FL and ATH Darius Lipford (6-4 210) of Lenoir, NC, who are committed to Florida State and Duke respectively, plan to make unofficial visits to USC Saturday for the Florida game. Cummings has taken official visits to USC and Florida State. He also is scheduled for an official visit to Florida in December. Lipford is also considering Clemson, North Carolina and Virginia along with Duke.
