Alabama Five Ugly Truths Texas Fans Don't Want To Acknowledge
Texas fans can live in denial as long as their team is winning, but there are five ugly truths that will be revealed against Alabama that will make even the most ardent fan finally acknowledge.

1. Texas can't run . Take Colt McCoy's scrambles out and Texas' running game is simply pitiful. This makes them one dimensional. They rate out as the 55th best rushing offense and it hasn't played against the nations best rushing defense, which is the Crimson Tide's.

If they can't run against the creme puffs they've played, they will be lucky to amass 75 yards on Alabama.

They average about 150 yards per game and Alabama averages giving up only 79 yards per game while playing teams with excellent running giving them a history of completely shutting down even the best Heisman contenders.

2. Texas can't block on offense . Texas is 94th in the nation protecting their quarterback—allowing more sacks than 93 of the 120 total teams. They just plain suck.

When the only running a team has is their quarterback running for his life, it doesn't bode well.

They've given up 31 sacks against much less talent than Alabama brings to the game and Alabama is one of the nation's leaders in sacking quarterbacks.

Texas wouldn't have beaten the top SEC team at the beginning of the season, and they won't now.

There is really only 1 big truth. Not a single team in the Big12 is good enough to win the SEC, much less the national championship.

Being one-dimensional against a stout SEC defense will ultimately be their downfall. I just cant see them passing consistently against Alabama's secondary. Of course I said the same thing about Utah, but this unit it 5x better then last seasons. That was probably the biggest improvement on the whole team, besides the passing game on offense.

Oh look, another Bleacher Report article rehashing stuff discussed weeks ago and offering no new insights.

What are the odds?

How is this list any different than the 30 other "This is why Alabama will beat Texas" lists? Do you guys have no insight of your own?

This is true.

Texas has been working on Alabama for most of a month now. There is time to create a team and offense that Alabama hasn't seen on film. They are getting back a guy who plead out of a DWI through Texas' weak prosecution of drunk driving cases who can change the game. This back could make their offense multi-dimensional; he's a freshman who is fast and strong. Colt McCoy is a much faster and more mobile Tebow. He can sling the rock better too. Shipley has grown up with McCoy. McCoy knows which way Shipley will Zag before Shipley Zigs. That's why the two have alot of stats.

Alabama has a tough physical balanced style of game play that matches up well against alot of teams and they should win, but some of those statements are not necessarily true and look awefully homer beach.

Dude, you need to join ASS.....

Association of Stat Spinners

Go back... take out the D1AA teams, re-average the numbers and come back and make an argument. I know, I'm the ASS President ten years running, so as a true ASS master should, I've put up some numbers to show: Some Ugly Truths Bama Fans Don't Want To Acknowledge.

1. Bama's pass defense is so bad, that Army, Air Force, and Eastern Michigan are ranked better, and 2-10 Vandy is only 1 yard per game worse.

2. Bama's rushing offense is so bad, that Air Force (again), Navy, Nevada (are you kidding me?), UAB (are you out of your mind?) and Fresno State (ok, now you must be lieing) are ranked higher.

3. Bama's Passing Offense REALLY sucks, as a matter of fact, they are 88th of 120 teams behind, Duke, Troy... oh hell, behind almost EVERYBODY!!

4. Southern Miss, Troy, and Central Michigan (as well as 23 otherteams) have scored more touchdowns, and more points per game than Bama.

5.Bama's Pass Effiency is ranked behind no less than 6 teams that finished the year at 5-7 and are NOT going bowling.

Spin, spin, spin.... lol

My thoughts exactly. Either this author is an idiot or he's not a Bama fan.
