SEC Football Talk Little doubt remains of which football conference is truly the best. Will the SEC win an unprecedented fifth straight BCS title? Who will face off in Atlanta this December? Will another one of our own once again capture the prestigious Heisman Trophy? Talk about it all here.

This forum is for SEC Football talk only, not for recruiting, NFL, or non-SEC college football discussion.

That's pretty good, but most sportswriters had UF-UT penciled in the NC game before the season too. They completely whiffed on Cincy and TCU. Not that I blame 'em.

I think we misread. It's sorted by "Current," now. They gave TCU a 60/1, Boise State a 75/1, and Cincy a 125/1 to start the season, and now they've adjusted it to 6/1, 15/1, 20/1.

Their original top five was Florida (2/1), Oklahoma (9/2), Texas (11/2), USC (6/1), and Alabama (15/1). I'll bet they wish they'd seen Cincinnati coming.

I mean, as a Gator fan, I'd have to say they got Florida right...

I was thinking exactly the same thing. It would've been crazy, but yeah, they had as much confidence in Boise State as any of us would've.

Vegas oddsmakers kill me sometimes with their spreads. I mean it can be 8-10 points and they will hit the spread in a 50-70 point game. They had the Alabama Florida game pegged last year.

What's with Oklahoma? I was unaware that they lost 4 starters on OL. There is no way that they should be listed as high as vegas had them if they knew that..

True, but it was all about Bradford. Plus, it's Oklahoma so reloading on the OL isn't that big of a deal really.

Maybe we should ask Bradford about that.

Oh I'm not saying it's not a factor because it is. I just think the odds makers had OU so high because of Bradford. When he went down, the Sooners went down. I know your point is if the OL were better maybe he doesn't go down. Maybe he doesn't. I don't know.

oh, he should be the first to tell you that you just have to go down the street to any restaurant in Norman serving pig ears and giblet gravy, and youll be able to replenish the OL no problem.
