Anyways, sorry to threadjack. Is LSU really gonna wear all white with a gold helmet?

They'd wear red anyway. LSU would've worn the normal white jersey anywho.

Arkansas always wears red in Baton Rouge...

It is less the jersey and more the phrase "Cochon de Lait" direct shot at Arkansas... does that change anything in what to this point has been a largely manufactured rivalry?

Does it change anything for you? I wish nike woulda come up with a better name for the new jersey. LSU/Arky rivalry means nothing to me. I want to win no worse than any other game.

We've hardly ever worn red pants, but right now we're on a four game streak in all red. If LSU is wearing all white, I bet we wear all red again.

Typically I want Arkansas to win because LSU is so much better and a win over LSU at the end of the season on national television means amazing things for the program....

Which is all true.

Things changed for me in 2006... Arkansas is on a 10 game winning streak, McFadden is in the naitonal spotlight and LSU beats Arkansas in Little Rock... boy I hated LSU. Arkansas had legitimate chances of being in national Title contention and they get beat by LSU and some doofus in a trucker hat....

The next year, Arkansas has a chance to play spoiler in Baton Rouge and guess what... They WIN in three OT's but much to my dismay, LSU STILL goes to the national title... and wins, when Arkansas was supposed to knock them out of it. Boy I hated LSU, they just circumvented the whole point of the college football regular season... every game matters. Yeah well apparently not if you're LSU.

The next year... Arkansas wins in dramatic fashion with three of the most hated Razorbacks in school history... Casey Dick, London Crawford, and Alex Tejada... And Bobby Petrino ends a dismal season with a dramatic win over a better team. I was a sports photog at the time for Channel 5... I was 15 feet away from Crawford when he caught that pass, and the shot I got of it was a work of art.

Then you start thinking about the numbers.... Arkansas has never won three in a row against LSU. Now they have a shot. And Petrino seems to be the guy to do it. He's building a program. He's got weapons, young scary weapons. And just maybe the Corndogs will care about this game a little bit more.

Then this happens, and for the first time LSU shows signs of giving a damn about this game... After all the rumors of keeping the trophy in a closet somewhere, and downplaying Arkansas' significance in the SEC, and mispronouncing the state's name, finally maybe LSU cares.

That is the hope of one Arkansas fan... because Arkansas doesn't really have a rival. I hate LSU, can't stand them. And it kind of makes sense. Just me personally, I would prefer we give the state of Louisiana back to France... y'all would fit in better there. JK.

I would hope Cochon de Lait meant that LSU fans cared about getting beat two years in a row, but obviously it doesn't. I guess it will take getting beat 5 or 6 times in a row before it starts rubbing LSU fans the wrong way. I figured it would only take 3.

If those uni's negate a teams need for a coach, then i could care less what they look like.

I personally support the Nike Pro Combat campaign, but then again I'm young and don't care as much for tradition as most fans do. As a Gator fan, I love our jerseys with the exception of the pants. I don't much care for the design they added to the back, I'd much rather them have left the pants a solid blue. With that said, I much prefer them over our current jerseys, which in my opinion are tired. I'm hoping that we'll see a permanent change starting next season. As for the rest of the teams?

TCU - Love

FSU - Love

LSU - Meh, I don't like the Bengals in all white.

Miami - No one cares.

Ohio State - Love the jersey, hated the socks.

Oklahoma - Not much of a change.

Texas - Not much of a change.

Mizzou - Love em

Va Tech - They were ok.

Am I missing anyone?

I thought the doppler radar of a hurricane on the sleeve is actually pretty cool with the Miami jersey.

btw, anyone who cares to listen to the show,

921theticket.com

click the listen live link. It's just a temporary site, that is why it looks like crap.
