As the season gets closer to the end the top teams gets smaller and smaller until there is but one .... this week we have the Elite Eight ....

Elite 8
1. Alabama
2. Florida
3. Texas
4. TCU
5. Cincinnati
6. Boise State
7. Georgia Tech
8. LSU

This week Bama rolls as it is Senior Day in Tuscaloosa ....

The bulldogs travel to Little Rock and those mean bad hawgs chase the bulldogs back across the Mississippi ....
Arkansas over Miss State

LSU comes to Oxford .... the cajun get to enjoy the Grove .... will it ever be the same .... LOL I have missed 3 picks this year with Ole Miss .... by far my worse team .... I think LSU .... but Coach Nutt loves to be counted out and an underdog .... I'll take ....
Ole Miss over LSU in a close one ....

Florida against Florida International .... huh ....

Kentucky at Georgia .... this is a tuff one for me .... UGA has been so up and down this year .... Kentucky played well last week .... that 3 headed monster at QB .... UGA? UK? UGA? UK? ....
what the heck .... Kentucky over Georgia in OT ....

Vandy travels to UT .... I thought the Vols had made the turn until last week against Ole Miss .... Vandy is no Ole Miss .... they do have a pretty good D .... but the O is young ....

I still think LSU-Ole Miss will be a tossup, and I'm still not buying that Kentucky is going to beat Georgia. Worst case, Georgia doesn't cover the spread.

And yeah, the line is Ole Miss -4.0.

folks I don't go by Vega$ line .... don't care for them .... where is LSU ranked? where is Ole Miss ranked?? if LSU is not fav .... then they shouldn't be ranked that high .... LSU has lost 2 games this year .... to the #1 and #2 team in the country .... Coach Nutt is great at getting his team up to play .... he is playing this as if they are the underdog the forgotten one .... he did it last year .... he did it at Arkansas .... don't tell him they are favored to win .... LOL They Kentucky game .... I don't know .... gut feeling .... I think over all Kentucky as played better over the entire season than UGA, they have been on a rollcoaster .... good one week bad the next .... UGA might be putting it all together here at the end of the season .... just a gut feeling .... could have been the mexican food I ate .... LOL

Rankings are based on what you've accomplished up to this point. The line is based on how good a team the public thinks you are. Vegas is pretty good at guessing what people think. But if they're wrong, the are quick to adjust. Because they want equal money bet on both sides. So you could actually consider the line to be a much more accurate view of who most people feel is the better team than polls. If most people thought LSU was going to go to Oxford and win, I can assure you they would be favored. But as it stands I think most people believe, as you do, that Ole Miss is going to win.

Ole Miss could certainly win this one based on how well they did in their last game against the Vols. If Snead is on and Dexter is on, then Ole Miss is very likely going to win. However, this is an LSU team with lots of talent. Their offense sputters because their offensive line is nil. Their starting QB is gimpy with a sprained ankle. But, they are still a dangerous team; great WRs, a pretty good D, an excellent secondary, and lots of physical power and speed. Who knows... the LSU OL may suddenly jell and Jarret Lee, who will likely play significant time, may pitch the game of his life time. And, Russell Shepard and Keiland Williams may run in the same backfield. Anyway, it should be a really good football game, suitable fare for the CBS 2:30 audience and those stumbling in from the Grove to try and find their seats in V-H. HELP PREVENT CRIME - DON'T RE-ELECT ANYONE
