Harvin has been pretty amazing in the NFL already. I think the better discussion might be between Ingram and Mcluster

Yeah i get your point but Oxford town is also correct. You have to understand if they would have utilized him at the beginning of the season he would most likely be the front runner. But i can't argue stats.

Favre and their defense much?

Kidding. He deserves plenty of credit. But i was just trying to compare their senior seasons in college.

Oh I definitely am not saying he is the reason the Vikes are 8-1 but he has made impressive contributions so early to the team. Dex will be solid at the next level as well as long he stays in one piece.

Harvin had a better team around him. I love dexter he is amazing but I doubt he will do anything in the pros other than return punts or kicks. He is just too small. If our coaches had the sense to use him like this earlier in the season we might have one or two less losses.

I don't know. Wes Welker is only listed as an inch taller with about 20 pounds on DM. I would think if Dex could get up to at least 180 he might be able to be a hell of a slot receiver.

harvin had mclusters speed with 20-30 more pounds on him, plus he was a far better receiver, yet he could make all the runs Dexter does

McCluster IS good tho, but a quick look at the Vikings this season is proof enough that Harvin IS the man.

Well it may be just an opinion but i think mccluster has a step on harvin in quickness. The cuts he make are amazing. Atleast comparing their senior seasons.

Harvin could hold up better (ironic, isn't it?) against bigger players than DM can. Percy is a player that comes along once a generation.
McCluster should be compared to Jeff Demps, Chris Rainey, Randall Cobb, etc.
But Percy Harvin > Dexter McCluster with no doubt whatsoever.

Well since you mentioned it let's talk about Randall Cobb and all-purpose. How about approximately 1350 total yards split fairly evenly among FOUR statistical categories. In reality, you don't get more all-purpose than that.

Harvin with Cluster a close second. I think Harvin is a better receiver and hes bigger.
Cobb will make ALOTTA noise before hes gone.

I think Harvin is just starting to show what kind of an asset he will be for the Vikings, and they are fully aware of it. He is the one I like most. I think McCluster will go pro and be a great thing for some lucky team, too. I think on the plus side for Harvin is his strength. He is a piece of dynamite when he touches the ball.

McCluster is better than Demps and Rainey IMO. I think Harvin and McCluster are pretty close, with the edge going to harvin because heighth and strength. Although, if you've never seen McCluster up close, you've never seen ripped. Guy is all muscle. Just not much size.
