Seems the only people not complaining about the Refs are Bama and Fla
The refs have been awful this whole year; they've missed calls for and against everyone, even the Tide and the Gators. I just can't get over the fact that the only people not losing their sh*t over how bad the Refs are are Bama and Florida. Yes, you two are probably the two best teams in the SEC and one of you will be in the National Championship, but doesn't it piss you off that a lot of people think that you weren't good enough to do it on your own?
Why does every Gator or Tide fan on here think anyone that complains about the Refs is whining? Can't you be big enough to say yeah that was a horrible call instead of calling people cry babies? You guys should be the the first in line to call for Slive to fix all this nonsense but it seems to me that as long as the mistakes mostly go your way you will keep silent.
You are very wrong here, Coach Gene Chizik nor Myself has said a word about officiating this year. I've only said that we have always had these problems but circumstances have made them larger this year than have ever been.
hey man, its just like every game played. nobody mentions the calls that went their way. everyone seems to complain about the ones that didn't though, especially when they lose. Would excuses have anything to do with? I think so...
"....barely undefeated"

That is the part that I react to. I feel as though bad officiating permeates the league, not just this conference. There are plenty of terrible calls in every NCAA football game, whether it be between Florida and Arkansas, or Indiana and Illinois. So, it annoys me that people only choose to act out over bad calls in big games. Especially if all they're going to suggest is that bad calls are the only reason a big team won.
Slive wants everyone in the SEC to stop "whining" about it because it is making us look bad compared to every other conference, where the complaints about bad calls are handled quietly. Every loss this season has come with a list of at least fifteen penalties relating to why, as opposed to fifteen instances of your team failing to complete passes, or failing to protect the quarterback, or failing to make field goals, or failing to score, or failing to cover receivers, failure to close holes in the line, failure all around. It's the penalties, not the teams, this season. And I disagree with that.
ONE TWO THREE FOUR FIVE DEM DA GATAS DON'T TAKE NO JIVE
Of course we have a problem with the officiating... I'm pretty sure our coach is 30 grand poorer today because of our dissatisfaction with officiating. And, like the OP points out, if it has happened to everybody, there's not much point in continuing to whine and cry every week... just pray your team gets the calls that week. It's not like all the whining and crying is going to accomplish anything anyway; unless, of course, you take the correct action and voice your concerns via e-mail or real mail to the SEC offices.
What most Gator and Tide fans refuse to do is go the extra step of concluding that games were won or lost on those calls. And, reaching that conclusion WOULD take an extra step; meaning some folks seem to think they know how the rest of a game would turn out if those calls hadn't been made... which, of course, is impossible.
As Tim said, missed calls occur in every single game. None of us are naive to believe otherwise, even though we all know they happen. For us and against us. Just off the top of my head...did Auburn fans come out and admit the bad calls when LSU got screwed in JHS in 2006?
I think that if Bama and UF weren't undefeated you wouldn't see the complaining of the calls reach this passionate of a level.

You know come to think of it, why does LSU always come out on the losing end of the horrific calls.

first off, hope this doesnt make you feel stupid but when you win you don't complain about the refs
when was the last time your team won and you bitched red faced about the refs for days? get it?
and I bitched ALOT over the missed calls in the Arky/UF game
Exactly. I haven't heard too many complaints about the officiating when teams win, even if there are some obviously bad calls. That's the problem with all the complaining... it isn't genuine. Folks are only concerned about the officiating if it negatively affects their team. There have been bad calls against UF, too; but you don't see too many threads from fans about those bad calls, and if a Gator fan points them out, we're bashed for pointing out the very same things other fans do about their teams. And that, boys and girls, is hypocrisy at its finest. If you truly have a problem with the officiating, then you have to be supportive of every team that has a bad call go against them... you can't pick and choose who deserves fair officiating.

I dont think Slive likes LSU
Au contraire. How's about Alabama/LSU 2004 (the pass interference on Keith Brown committed by Corey Webster that was not called) or Alabama/LSU 2007 when Matt Caddell hauled in a diving reception that went for about 40 yards in the 4th quarter that was ruled incomplete after replay?
Take off the purple and gold shades, man.
MIRACLES HAPPEN!

I'm still anger over a guy that got an Alabama gameball at a pregame celebration being the replay official two years ago when Shay caught that ball. RAWR!
So true.... the winning team just doesn't go back looking for calls that went against them... the losing team is looking for excuses, and doesn't want to see that maybe it had something to do with their inability to stop the run in the second half, or that their coach wasted all their timeouts, or that they amassed 9 - fourth quarter yards, or that they were getting man-handled in the second half... every game has questionable calls...every fan feels like they are going against their team. But to say a bad call is the sole reason your team lost, is very short sided.
