The SEC league office has announced its top performers from Week 10:
OFFENSE
Ryan Mallett, QB, Arkansas: Completed 23 of 27 passes for 329 yards with no interceptions and also had a 1-yard rushing touchdown in the 33-16 win over South Carolina. His completion percentage of .852 set a school record (min. 20 attempts) and is tied for the fifth highest single-game performance in SEC history.
DEFENSE
Javier Arenas, CB, Alabama: Registered seven total tackles with two for loss and a quarterback pressure in the 24-15 win against LSU. Arenas is now tied for second in the SEC with 10.5 tackles for loss this season and is third on the team with 52 total tackles. Arenas leads all SEC defensive backs in tackles for loss.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Chas Henry, P, Florida: Punted four times for 211 yards and a season-best 52.8-yard average in the 27-3 win against Vanderbilt. He had three punts over 50 yards, including two of 58 yards, giving him six punts of 50-plus yards on the season. Vanderbilt’s 6-yard punt return in the first quarter was the first return allowed all season by Florida.
OFFENSIVE LINEMAN
Aaron Douglas, T, Tennessee: Made his sixth consecutive start at right tackle in the 56-28 win over Memphis. The Vols compiled 566 yards of total offense, including 429 passing on 38 attempts with just one sack, while holding the ball for more than 32 minutes in the game. The Vols are 4-2 since Douglas moved into the starting lineup.
DEFENSIVE LINEMAN
Montez Robinson, E, Georgia: Accounted for a career-high five total tackles, with 2.5 for loss, including two sacks, in the 38-0 shutout of Tennessee Tech. Robinson helped anchor a defense which held the Golden Eagles to just 55 total yards on offense, including minus-13 rushing yards, and piled up six sacks and 15 tackles for loss.
FRESHMAN
Morgan Newton, QB, Kentucky: Completed 20 of 29 passes for 187 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the 37-12 win over Eastern Kentucky. All passing numbers were career highs. Newton helped Kentucky generate 444 yards of total offense even though the Wildcats’ leading rusher and receiver did not play.
OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES FROM WEEK 10
WR JULIO JONES (Alabama) -- Caught four passes for 102 yards, including 73-yard TD reception against LSU.
NG/DE MARCELL DAREUS (Alabama) -- Had four tackles with two sacks (-12) against LSU.
DB JERRELL NORTON (Arkansas) -- Had two tackles, an interception and a pass deflection against South Carolina.
TE D.J. WILLIAMS (Arkansas) -- Caught seven passes for 137 yards against South Carolina.
QB CHRIS TODD (Auburn) -- Completed 17-of-18 passes for 256 yards and four touchdowns against Furman.
WR DARVIN ADAMS (Auburn) -- Caught six passes for 115 yards and three touchdowns against Furman.
LB DUSTIN DOE (Florida) -- Notched career-high 11 tackles with pass deflection against Vanderbilt.
TE AARON HERNANDEZ (Florida) -- Had career highs of seven catches for 120 yards against Vanderbilt.
TB WASHAUN EALEY (Georgia) -- Rushed for career-high 89 yards on seven carries and two TDs against Tennessee Tech.
LB SAM MAXWELL (Kentucky) -- Totaled three tackles and an interception against Eastern Kentucky.
RB CHARLES SCOTT (LSU) -- Rushed for 83 yards on 13 carries against Alabama.
LB JACOB CUTRERA (LSU) – Had game-high 11 total tackles (four solos) against Alabama.
QB JEVAN SNEAD (Ole Miss) -- Completed 16-of-29 passes for 235 yards with two TDs and no interceptions against Northern Arizona.
OT BOBBY MASSIE (Ole Miss) -- Credited with eight knockdowns, 15 finishes and a pancake block against Northern Arizona.
QB STEPHEN GARCIA (South Carolina) -- Completed 20-of-34 passes for career-high 327 yards with a touchdown and rushed for another score against Arkansas.
WR ALSHON JEFFERY (South Carolina) – Caught five passes for 116 yards, including an 80-yard TD run, against Arkansas.
QB JONATHAN CROMPTON (Tennessee) -- Set UT record for passing yards in a half by throwing for 305 of his career high 331 yards in first half against Memphis. Completed 21-of-27 passes for the game for 331 yards and five touchdowns.
RB/RS WARREN NORMAN (Vanderbilt) -- Accounted for game-high 170 all-purpose yards against Florida (65 rush/99 kickoff return/6 receiving).
LB PATRICK BENOIST (Vanderbilt) – Registered nine total tackles (seven solos) with two for losses (-13 yards), including a sack, against Florida.
