Looking strictly at passing right now, I would say it would be Arkansas' Ryan Mallet. He has that 6'7" height tied to a strong, accurate passing arm. If he's back at Arkansas next year (he is, isn't he?), he is likely to be a winning Heisman contender. He has become my favorite QB to watch in college football. Outstanding, IMO.
I lost a bet so here's my new sig for awhile.

He's definitely a mean-looking dude, but I watched him in an interview at the end of the game against South Carolina and he is pretty articulate and not so sinister looking once he starts to speak. But, otherwise, he looks like a serial-killer-in-waiting.

Oh, ok, I thought he was saying he was ugly. My bad.
He is very talented and knows how to take charge of the team. I think they are very confident in him. He is fun to watch, because he can really get things moving for them very quickly.

I think that's it; he's fun to watch because he can make lightening strike at any time. He seems as comfortable throwing the home-run ball as he does throwing the short and intermediate stuff. I could almost read Spurrier's face as he threw the first long TD pass, "Why isn't that guy MY QB??"
I live in south FL too. Why didnt you watch on espn360?
I saw it was covered on ESPN360 but I was over at my parents house and it would have been more of an inconvenience than anything. And take this however you want, but it was Furman and I felt confident in the Tigers to take care of business even if I wasn't watching.
As far as whether he'll be back next year, he should be. He's just a redshirt Soph., so he is eligible, but another year under Petrino and QB coach McGee wouldn't hurt him any. I've seen him in mock drafts usually going in the 2nd round. Hopefully he'll stay one more year and try to move his stock up.

He definitely should come back. His stock would soar, especially if he got into the Heisman talk (heck... he might even win it), and then he would go in the 1st round, maybe even the 1st pick. Also, he will get masterful tutoring under Petrino. Mallet couldn't be in a better spot.

Agreed. I bet he stays for that shot at early first round. Plus I don't think we would have to play him so I'm all for it.
