This one is a bit more reasonable than the Coaches Poll, but I still don't understand the Alabama hate.

Impressed... they actually kept us as the highest ranked 2-loss team. And we should be, we only lost to #1 and #3!

bama should be #2, even #1 is arguable. It'll be all sorted out in a month, though, so I don't think it's that big a deal.

LSU should be no worse than #4-5 in the country. I understand how the polls work, but they'd stomp everyone ahead of them that's not named Florida, Alabama, or Texas. May not be pretty, but they'd win - well, unless jefferson & scott are out for the year. Scott's injury looked kinda serious.

No we don't; we have 7. The SEC mandates that SEC teams have a certain number of home games... the number might be half of a season schedule, or at least 6 games. They're making certain that the right amount of money stays in the conference... that's the reason for the mandate.

Never said it was tough; but after playing Top 5 schedules for the last several years, I'd say we were due for a weak one for a change.

BTW, our current SOS is #15 and Bama's is #18. UT? #34... so what's your excuse?

Fair enough, it honestly doesn't bother me if we're not #2. The rankings take care of themselves if we keep winning. I know what this team is capable of and I'm really pumped as fawk to see the outcome of this season.

Could be from the stats. Texas now has the top rated defense while Bama has dropped to 4th. Also, with Virginia Tech, South Carolina and Ole Miss losses, it hurts Bama's SOS. Texas is also ahead of Bama on total offense, scoring offense and scoring defense. I don't have a problem with Texas ranked #2. I wish they were ranked #1 and face an undefeated SEC champ ranked #2 (prefer it was Bama).
