Auburn back in the rankings, and LSU only drops 2 spots.
This poll has been a joke for years. I put no stock in it. I hate that it is part of the BCS rankings. The AP is usually slightly more objective, although neither of them make perfect sense to me on a regular basis.
Bama should have absolutely jumped back in front of Texas after beating LSU. Sadly, most voters didn't even watch the games, and just voted based on what they saw on the front page of the sports section and SportsCenter this morning. So, all they see is that UT killed UCF, and not how much of a struggle it was for them early on.
The Oregon thing I understand. When you lose matters, and after Oregon lost to an unranked Stanford, they were bound to fall far. I don't understand how USC moved up like they did, though... they barely beat one of the worst teams in the Pac-10, 14-9, and are now the 4th best team in the Pac-10 overall. How can the 4th best team in that lame conference be ranked in the Top 10?
The big joke is how both the writers and coaches moved Ohio State up into the top 10. They were keeping Iowa up there so they could have a Big Ten up in the top 10, after all they are a "BCS" conference...in 2009, really?
Alabama should be ahead of Texas.
LSU should be ahead of USC & Ohio State.
I wouldn't have dropped LSU at all. But the problem is, if Scott has a broken collar bone, that does hurt LSU. I didn't think Ole Miss had much of a chance against LSU but injuries could change that. It makes the Arkansas game much tougher too. Arkansas may be the most improved team in the SEC since the early season - Arkansas and Tennessee.

Scott will certainly be missed, but Ridley is a hoss and will move right into the role that Scott held. He is a lot like Scott; runs over and through people and has an excellent nose for the hole. Ridley is our RB of the future, along with a redshirt named Ford that you'll see next year.

I was pretty impressed by the kid, didn't seem like much of a drop-off once he came in the game.
