Default Explain this, please.
Could UT fans explain why Kiffin did a trick play with Hardesty on the first play of the game, tried to kick an onside kick after going up 14-0, and has gone for every 4th down? This includes two 4th and 2's on the same drive, one coming up short at the Memphis 29.. The third 4th and 5 on the Tennessee 30. Tennessee fans and possibly other fans please explain this.
Note: Yes , I know Kiffin is a douche.

I get this sig till the SEC Champ Game! Go hogs!

I'd say you answered your own question.

Sig by Sabanocchio, a pretty decent guy for a Tennessee fan...

So all of you wanted Meyer to run up the score on Kiffin, but when West pulls the same bullisht and gets his ass handed to him for his efforts, you raise up a fuss? Weak. He's trying to make Neyland a scary place to play. Too bad the frat boys and geriatrics are trying their best to spite him.

One day Veronica and I are going to get married on top of a mountain, and there's going to be flutes playing and trombones and flowers and garlands of fresh herbs. And we will dance till the sun rises. And then our children will form a family band. And we will tour the countryside and you won't be invited!

People seem to not believe it, but it's very possible for a coach to not take the competition seriously. Kiffin knew that Memphis was going to lose this game spectacularly, so he just did a random slew of plays to see how things would go. You could call it bad sportsmanship, but I don't think any teams actually care.

Because it isn't a football coach's job to just win by three or fourteen. It is a coach's job to have his team impose their will on the other team and do so in a fashion that is convincing. Kiffin was trying to make sure that Crompton knew he was a good qb and could win the rest of UT's games. (except hopefully against Ole Miss)
