Yeah I was groaning about the lack of rushing attempts in the first half. It works much better for the QB when you open up the passing game off the run
Bama had some real opportunities to cash in and couldn't do so...two red-zone opportunities, one in which we throw an INT to keep pts off the board and the other we get a boneheaded penalty to end up with 3 pts and not 7 pts.
But nevertheless a great game for the offense. Mac seemed a LOT more patient going through his reads today. The play-calling was adventerous. Ingram kept on truckin'. Pass protection was as good as it has been since the UK game. I was impressed.
Outgained 'em by 200 yds and people still act like the officials decided the game.
Rushing: 176 yards, 1 TD. (the officials ran the ball)
Passing: 276 yards, 2 TD's. (the officials received the ball)
Field Goals: 3/3, 100% (the officials kicked the ball)
73 yard TD pass (the line judge caught it)
TOP: 32:52. (the officials controlled the ball)
Interception (the officials intercepted the ball)
#2 Alabama Crimson Tide: 10-0 (7-0) - SEC West Champions.
The only bad thing really from this game is that McElroy is still missing wide open receivers on a regular basis. Outside of that, it's gotta feel good to be a Tide fan right now.
