Default meyer suspended or fined?
with the recent out cry of coaches against the refs in the SEC lately and slive saying if a coach calls out the officials they will be suspended or fined, what do yall think will happen to crier?

i personally think nothing will happen because slive and meyer are friends and it will just show the entire SEC that slive has no backbone

I feel like a psychic whenever I read one of your posts, because I already know what it's going to say.

I think Meyer will get fined probably. He didn't even come close to what some of these other coaches have said. All he said was that a call was missed and he sent it in to be reviewed.
If he gets suspended, there should be a mutiny.

but slive did not say to what extent you had to criticize the refs he just said if you publicly criticize the refs you will be suspended or fined, do you think he should fine, suspend, or do nothing to meyer?

I have no opinion except that Meyer should most definitely not get suspended.
Fined? I could see Slive wanting to make an example I guess. I wouldn't be upset.
Nothing? Well Meyer didn't really criticize the refs, just made mention of a play he was sending in to be reviewed. That sort of thing happens all the time.

The blasting of the officials we've seen from Kiffin, Mullen, and Petrino does not happen all the time and that's what the SEC wants to stop.

It's a gray area and unless Meyer gets suspended or faces a HEAVY fine, I won't give it a second thought.

EDIT: zartan, ShowTime.... come on, you know this doesn't deserve a suspension. At all. Not even close.

He'll get fined, everyone will complain, and we'll all move on. There is no way this warrants a suspension. He didn't call out the officiating crew. He simply said they missed a call that he thought should've been a personal foul, and he sent it in. You guys are crazy.

i dont think it even deserves a reprimand like slive has givin out to 3 other coaches already, I think a coach should be able to criticize the refs if he wants.

but on that note this is a business and slive is technically the boss and he said that if a coach publicly criticizes the refs they will be fined or suspended and if he doesnt do anything now with it only being a week after he said it than it will make it look like he has no backbone and will just open up the door for more criticism

to open your mouth after there has been all this controversy about SEC refs is tempting fate.

Once again, as with Spikes, Gator fans somehow find a way to defend and justify one of their own's actions even when it's obvious there is some wrongdoing.

The whole idea that Meyer could possibly be suspended for this is absolutely INSANE. What is wrong with all of you?
My head is about to explode. Dare I take the Volunteer/Crimson Tide approach and suggest that all this hate is thrust upon us because everyone else is JEALOUS?!

No... I know everyone actually does just hate Meyer and Florida.

Which is why I would not be surprised, or upset, if Slive decided to fine him.

No doubt about that, but I think Meyer likes to feed his ego.

No, I think it has more to do with the double standard mentality of Gator fans here.

If Lane Kiffin criticizes the refs, he's a douche. If Meyer does it, the reaction is, "ahh...he's still a good ol' boy."

No one is jealous of your program or your successes.
