If that were to happen and it was Bama that hit it, Tiffin's Arkansas fiasco of a few years back would be immediately erased from every Bama fan's mind forever.

But hopefully it never gets that close.

this should be a cracking game. however, CBS always seems to air the duds. maybe SEC teams cant put on a show at 3:30 in the afternoon. either way, ill be taping it for viewing on sunday. im getting married on saturday, and apparently i have to be there instead of home on the couch with beer and whiskey in hand and gumbo in the pot.

some key stats taken from the cbssports.com game preview are below. their major offensive players look fairly balanced (Ingram aside). based on what ive seen this season, LSU can just forget about the run against Bama. the two big questions are 1. can Brandon LaFell get separation from the Bama d-backs and 2. can LSU slow down Ingram enough to get their own offense back on the field.

i really fear Ingram running over everybody and it being another 13-3 FL/LSU type of game.

LSU

Passing
Player Pct Yds TDs Int
Jefferson 63.7 1421 11 4

Rushing
Player Att Yds Avg TDs
Scott 103 459 4.5 4
Shepard 28 225 8.0 2

Receiving
Player Rec Avg TDs Yds
Toliver 38 13.2 3 501
LaFell 37 12.9 8 478

Alabama

Passing
Player Pct Yds TDs Int
McElroy 59.9 1445 9 3

Rushing
Player Att Yds Avg TDs
Ingram 153 1004 6.6 8
Richardson 74 377 5.1 4

Receiving
Player Rec Avg TDs Yds
Maze 15 18.7 2 280
Jones 20 11.5 1 229

Alabama's Dline vs LSU's Oline..................Bama

LSU's Dline vs Alabama's Oline..................Bama

LSU is LAST in the conf. in total offense going against the #2 defense in the conference

pressure on McElroy? LSU is last in the conference in Sacks Against

pressure on Jefferson? LSU is next to last in Sacks given upand Alabama leads the conf. in Sacks By

Ball Control? Alabama leads the conf. in Time of Possession PLUS LSU is 10th in First downs and unfortunately Alabama is 2nd in the conf in Opponents first downs

plus LSU is 10th in Opponents 3rd down conversions

Alabama 26 LSU 9

Well, it sounds indisputable. LSU doesn't seem to have any chance whatsoever.

But, just hang on to your Houndstoothes, boys. These stats and words won't get the job done... you're going to have to prove yourselves on the field. You may be as strong as you believe you are, but, then again, you may not. We'll see.

I lost a bet so here's my new sig for awhile.

does McElroy have his confidence back yet?
LSU may not need to pressure him.

never really had a problem with confidence......he didnt get good protection against Ole Miss and USC........he was sharp against UT, be just threw short stuff which is really all UT was giving him.....no interceptions

really close game either way. Bama by 7-10, or LSU by 3.
But wild guess,
24-20 Bama.
