Yea, I'm glad he didn't suspend himself for more than one game though, I'd hate to see him come down too hard on himself...

It was a good move PR wise on his part. He has to think about the fact that he will be entering the NFL draft soon and doesn't need to seem like a problem player.

It seems awfully unusual for a player to suspend himself. I wouldn't be surprised if UF is trying to save face by keeping their star player out of the limelight. Maybe the decision is some kind of cover-up due to the enormous backlash following Meyer's suspension.

If Spikes actually has taken accountability for this and he has put it on himself, then 'grats to him.

It is unusual, but even so, he had to stand up in front of the cameras and say 'I don't want to be a distraction to the team'. Class act from someone that could be making millions right now in the NFL.

Im glad he's doing it. Makes meyer and slive look like d-bags and it gives him a game off that he doesn't really need to play in anyways. I wonder if he dresses or not though. Can you imagine what it would be like in Florida had to get a stop in the 4th and him choosing to be on the sideline?

I think if UF were playing Bama or LSU he would not have been suspended for any game time and he would not have suspended himself either.
