Default LSU is in Trouble
LSU coach Les Miles has been known to raise a few eyebrows with some of his comments.

They refer to it as Les-speak on the Bayou.

But he had ears, noses, hair, everything sticking up with a comment he made in the aftermath of LSU’s 31-23 season-opening win at Washington.

“Our new defensive staff did an outstanding job,” Miles said. “They got our players in good position to make tackles, and they improved as the game went on. A lot of the night, we ran the Tiger defense I want to see.”

I sure am glad he's at LSU......

Tennessee fan here, and they can have him, trust me. So many times I got pissed off at the 3rd and chavis. Pissed me off cause 9/10 times they get the 3rd down conversion. LSU fans will soon see, why quiet a few UT fans are glad he's gone, and that we got someone alittle more agressive as the D Coordinator now.

It was certainly the Tiger defense I'd like to see when they play Florida.

Yeah...after watching that game, I was wishing they were back on our schedule this year instead of Alabama.

I think Tubberville would take that job in a heart beat. Bad thing is, Tubberville is hard to beat when he's got good talent, and LSU's got the talent.

I wouldnt mind too much. He doesnt trust his coordinators, he always sits on leads, and (besides 2004) always lost at least 2 games he shouldnt have. Also, he is a terrible in state recruiter.

Yea, I was certain ole' tubby would travel down to U of Miami (FL) if Shannon didn't have a good year. But watching them play, Randy looks darn secure. So if, and i mean it is a huge if, Les leaves LSU, I would put all kinds of money that Rich Rod at Michigan might be told goodbye unless he has an awesome year.

I really doubt Les is going anywhere though. LSU will probably stomp Vandy into the ground, and LSU will be back on track.

I'll miss Tubs...but truth be spoken, I think he had a lot of problems during his last few seasons. Personal problems, etc. and a general lack of energy when it came to recruiting. I was also not a big fan of his "good ol' boy" system when it came to assistant coaches. Some of them should not have required a HC change in order to be dismissed.

That aside though, the man led Auburn through a National Championship season (say what you want, 04 was a national championship), and always managed to keep our players out of trouble. He was a gentleman in the sport and always keen on upholding the school traditions. Don't forget, he also got us 6 on Bama, and in my eyes, it doesn't get any better than that

Tubs earned the affection of Auburn fans the old fashioned way. He earned his place.

Chavis' bend but don't break "mustang" package does a lot more breaking than bending.

He's a great coordinator, but prepare to be frustrated on opponents 3rd down completion%.

It certainly wasn't the defense I've come to expect out of LSU. Arm tackling, one...maybe three blitzes, 3rd down and who cares cause they're gonna make it anyway....Chavis has got a LOT of ground to make up in a hurry. If he doesn't, he won't be in BR next year. I wonder if Bo would be interested in coming back from Lincoln...

LSU will be 7-5 8-4 this year maybe Les Miles will be fired so we can get him out of the SEC he is a disgrace to the SEC he needs to stay in the BIG 12

The Tide had driven more than 45 yards only once. On this possession, at this critical juncture in the season, Alabama drew from a different well, the well only winners tap. (Alabama vs Auburn 2009 ESPN reporter.
