| Funny, when my Auburn friends teased me about the cost of hiring Saban, I simply said, "It's an investment that will surely yeild a profit each year" - and I was not talking wins and losses, but additional income for the university. | ||

| Saban is the Darth Vader of college football lol If you are not an Alabama fan, he stands as this figure of ominous power. As an Auburn man, I love to hate the man. Could not ask for a better arch rival for Chizik ![]() WDE! And may the Iron bowl be all but conclusive each and every season! It's what makes it fun! ![]() | ||

| Bama will probably win the West this year. Their only tough obstacle is Ole Miss, and I don't think the Rebs can stop Saban. It was a damn good investment. Why do you think so many LSU fans were, and still are, PISSED? | ||

I don't agree with it, since he can pretty much write a number down and Bama would pay it. WDE! | ||

| Back in 2006, Alabama had started a $70m fund raising program. By the end of the year, they were $43m short of their goal. Saban was hired in January 2007 and by April, Alabama had raised $110m and exceeded their goal by $40m, which by coincidence was the same number as Saban's contract. If you consider that Saban is the hardest working man in America, then by comparable CEO salaries, $8m would be a bargain for a man running a company with a 72% profit margin that generates a $42m profit. Which, by the way, is much more profitable than the Green Bay Packers. | ||
