Default Beano Cooks 2009 predictions
Heard this awhile back when he was on his weekly spot with Colin Cowherd. Beano believe it or not, is amazingly accurate when picking the BCS title game match-up. Like for the last five years he's had at least one team that he had pick a year prior in the game. For next year Beano says Penn State will play Alabama for all the marbles.
So lets see how good we are at naming next years 2009 BCS championship game.

I'll say,

vs

Getting one right isn't that hard. I picked Oklahoma and Georgia. You can be horribly wrong on one of them and still be right about one.

I don't see any point in picking before the players have declared for the NFL draft. If I had to say right now I'd say Texas v. USC

Yep... Texas could be SCARY good next year assuming Colt stays.
USC's ALWAYS a safe pick!
Phyllis-But it is a big deal. You almost killed Stanley.
Dwight-Yeah right! I filled him full of butter and sugar for 50 years and forced him not to exercise!

Colt is staying for sure, and Texas got screwed this year. I don't think they are losing anybody significant except for DE Brian Orakpo. They should be scary, just like you said. USC is losing several really good players, linebackers Brian Cushing and Ray Maualuga, as well as SS Taylor Mays... however one thing you can always count on USC to do is reload immediately. There is no such thing as downtime with them. If they avoid the pitfall of losing to a team they shouldn't lose to, we could be looking at a rematch of 2005.

USC always has a let down game though. So unless nobody goes undefeated i doubt USC will be there.

I doubt anybody is going undefeated, except maybe Texas. If they beat Oklahoma, nobody else is going to stop them.

1) Texas didn't screwed. They ended up in a tie with 2 other teams and lost the tie-breaker to one of them.
2) Texas will still be very good next year, but they do have some losses beyond Shipley. Quan Cosby is just as big a loss at WR. They also lose 3 of their 4 starters at DL.

OKST played them to the wire in Austin this year. They have to play in Stillwater next year though.

Never mind DV3. We understand. You need all the possible odds out there that you can get. Why don't you just sit this one out if it's too much for you. Now the rest of you women get to selecting.

Your choice of helmets always look like sh!t so its hard to tell. And my nutts wouldn't be numb if you would get off of them.

I am not an Alabama hater. I think they have lots of talent but no way do they have as good of a year as they had this year. New QB's dont do well in the SEC. Wilson will be missed. I think Alabama is 9-3 next year. Just depends on who all leaves for the pros. If Tebow comes back I think it will be UF and OU again.

You guys are looking at this all wrong. You see, the way Beano finds success is looking at the schedule of teams. His reasoning for selecting Penn State and Alabama is cupcake schedule according to him. So I think you have to look at Penn State as one, because that have the easiest schedule in DI next year IMO.

2009 Football Schedule
Sept. 05 - Akron
Sept. 12 - Syracuse
Sept. 19 - Temple
Sept. 26 - Iowa
Oct. 03 - at Illinois
Oct. 10 - Eastern Illinois
Oct. 17 - Minnesota
Oct. 24 - at Michigan
Oct. 31 - at Northwestern
Nov. 07 - Ohio State
Nov. 14 - Indiana
Nov. 21 - at Michigan State
